Never Leave My Side (A Niall Horan Story)

We only have a few days left until the concert. Tori (Victoria) and Hannah have been at my house for about four days of the week. I'm not complaining though, they're so much fun.

Our parents like to hang out together too. Their mum and dad were over with them last night to BBQ with us. We haven't in forever.

Da and I are waiting for Tori and Hannah to be dropped off again. We have to run over to Dustin's again, but they will be here soon, so we are just going to wait up and take them with us. Dustin isn't going to mind. We have to get some things for tomorrow night.

I still can't believe that Da is going to let me camp out with all the crazies of Ireland. "Just so long you don't go drinking." Is all he said before laughing.

Da and I are just enjoying a good chat and some laughs when Tori and Hannah get here.

"Hey, we have to run over to my boss's house to get some stuff for tomorrow night." Da says walking out of the house before me towards them. I walk out, locking the door before pulling it closed.

"Cool. Let's go." Hannah said. I couldn't help but notice she didn't seem to excited anymore. Jeremy problems, maybe?

I look at Tori who just nods. I feel like she can read my mind sometimes.

We all take a place in the car, buckling as da backs out of the driveway. Da turns on the radio, and of course One Direction is playing. I chuckle when da turns up the volume, and starts dancing around in the car.

I turn around to see Hannah smiling just a little bit at da. I looked at Victoria, before joining the song and dancing around like da. Earning weird looks from all the people we passed.

"They're just jealous that your da is way cooler." Hannah said, laughing a little.

We finally arrived at Dustin's, and he was already waiting for us outside, with a smile, as always.

"No boys today?" I asked Dustin when in ear shot, without yelling.

"No, they're with friends, and won't be be home until late." He answered.

Da and Dustin talked for a few minutes, while I showed the girls around his house, to the kitchen to get a drink.

We walked into the kitchen to the smell of freshly baked cookies. I had to stop for a few minutes, recollecting myself. The smell made me think of my dad, and how he was always making cookies, so our house always smelled like Heaven.

Danielle, Dustin's wife, turned around hearing us walk in. "Hey ladies. How are you?" She said looking at us. Not missing the tear that fell down my cheek. I quickly wiped it away. "What's wrong Sapphire?" She asked, walking quickly to me. She's like a mum to me when I come over.

"Nothing. I'm alright." I reassured her. "Umm, these are two of my good friends. This is Victoria, but we call her Tori," I said, pointing to my left. "And this is Hannah." I said, pointing to my right.

"Hey girls, it's nice to meet you." She said smiling at them. I love how motherly she is to everyone. "You guys want a cookie?" She asked us. And please, tell me how you say no to Danielle.

A few cookies, and many laughs later, da and Dustin walk into the kitchen. "Are you spoiling their dinner, Danielle?" Da laughs. The three of us just laughed at them. "Okay ladies, everything is in the back of the car. Are you ready to go?" Da asked.

"Yeah, let's get going." I said hoping off the stool.

"Thanks Danielle!" The three of us yelled at the same time.

"No problem girls, come back for more anytime you want." She said waving, and then looked into my eyes, "Sapphire, if you ever need to talk. I am just a phone call away dear." She said, in her motherly tone.

"Thank you." I said giving her a hug as she kissed my cheek.

We drove back to the house, sugared out on cookies. I know da could tell it was going to be a long night. He didn't seem to mind though. He seems to enjoy hanging out with us. He must have sensed me looking at him, he looked at me with just a simple smile.

Finally back at the house, we grabbed a drink from the kitchen, and headed straight to the game room. We were in the middle of a game when da walked in with the phone to his ear. He looked at me before holding the phone out and smiling. I paused the game and stood up. "I'll be right back. I have to take this call. Da will fill in for me." I told them taking the phone, going into the hallway.

"Hello?" I say putting the phone to my ear.

"Hey you." I heard Niall's voice, and just had to smile.

"Hey, how are you?" I asked him.

"I'm great. Sorry I haven't called you in a few days." He said.

I hate it when he says sorry. Especially when he has nothing to be sorry about.

"That's okay. I've been busy anyway. Tori and Hannah have been here for about four days now. It's been a blast." I said. Not that he would care too much.

"That sounds like fun. Spend a lot of time in the game room?" He asked.

"Hey Niall, Liam and I are going to go eat in a few minutes. You in?" I hear a voice say. It's not the same voice from the last time.

"Yeah. I'll be out in a few minutes." Niall said to the guy. "Sorry about that. It was my friend Zayn." Niall said to me.

"That's okay. You don't have to say sorry." I told him. "I have to go in a few seconds anyway. Tori and Hannah are waiting on me. Da took my place in the game." I said laughing.

He chuckled. "I wonder how badly your da is beating them." He said.

"They will probably accuse him of cheating if he wins.' I said. I laughed this time, not being able to stop myself.

"I always did." He replied, not missing my joke at him.

"Yes you did. I need to go, and you need to go eat." I said. "Some things never change." I said laughing.

"Hey. Don't make fun of me. I love my food." He joked. Both of us laughed this time. "I miss you, Sapphire." He said.

"I miss you too, Nialler. I'll talk to you later though." I said.

"Okay. I'll be looking forward to it." He said smiling into the phone.

"Me too." I whispered.

"Bye Sapphire!" He sang.

"Bye Nialler!" I sang back.

I joined back in the game. We had another great night. But tomorrow will be a lot better. I can't wait, and I don't think Hannah and Tori can either.
