Laura POV:
We sat down in the diner and ate our food.
Then my stomach churned.
'MATE!'
My wolf sensed it two seconds before I did.
"Mama? Are you ok?" Jessy asks and I nod
I wasn't.
Michael was here.
He walked over and spoke my name.
"Laura?" He asks but I try to ignore it.
I look up at him in fright.
"Laura?" He says again
"Michael." I whisper knowing I can't deny the truth. I then see his gaze land on Jessy so I hide her in the crook of my neck.
'Don't push him away!' My wolf was over the moon
"Is she mine?" He asks and I gulp
"Is she mine." He says this time growling
"Y-yes." I whisper and his wolf seems to come out a bit.
"Your coming with me." He growls and he grabs my hand
"No!" I squeak
"Why not." He whimpers a bit
"I have a job and she goes to school" I say and he looks at me
"We get you a new job and a new school!" He begins to growl again.
"No!" I say
"Your coming." He snarls
"One night." I say
We get to my car and I pass him the keys.
He drives back into California and smiles at me sitting next to me.
"So what's your name?" He questions Jessy
"Jessy." Jessy says looking at him.
She looks at me and asks where we are going
"To his house." I say
"Who is he?" She asks and he glances at me
"A friend." I say
He looks heartbroken at me and I mouth the words
'This isn't the place to tell her.'
He nods and then looks at Jessy
"What's your full name?" He asks
"Jessica Ashylnn Rachel Smith." Jessy says and he seems upset I didn't give her his last name, Scott.
