I get to the door of my first period and knock.
"Come in." I heard the teacher say.
"Hi I'm sorry I'm late here's a late slip. But I'm in this class." I say handing him my tardy slip.
"Yes Brooke I thought you were here today. If you want to tell everyone who you are you can or you can go have a seat. It's up to you." He says with a smile. I look at the class and they all look confused.
"Hello." I say walking over to my seat.
"Okay so we are going over the advanced Pythagorean theorem. If you have any question don't be afraid to ask." He fills me in. The teachers don't know how far ahead I am so they'll be in for a surprise.
"Okay." I say. He gets back to his lesson. Every question he asks I'm the one to answer because no one else will.
"Five minutes left in class if you haven't finished your paper I expect it first thing in the morning." He tells the class. I turned my paper in five minutes after we got it. "And Brooke I need to talk to you." He tells me. I get up and walk over to his desk.
"Yes sir?" I ask.
"How did you finish that so fast? I doubt the other students are past question two." He asks.
"I'm full of surprises." I say with a smile.
"You had it for five minutes and you showed all of you work and made a perfect hundred on it. That's impressive." He compliments me.
"Thank you sir. What are we going over tomorrow?" I ask him.
"Advanced trigonometry." He says.
"Okay I'll be ready for it. Thank you." I say walking over to my seat. Grabbing my bag I walk out the door since the bell already rang. Next is advanced English.
"Brooke welcome back." The teacher says when I walk in. I smile at her and take my seat.
"We are writing an eight page essay over a book they just finished. Ave you read Romeo and Juliet?" She asks.
"Yes ma'am." I say.
"Good that's the book they are writing over. You may read over the book or you can go ahead and start. It's up to you." She says. I smile at her. The thing is I already read the book and I wrote a twelve page essay over it.
"Is it okay if it's more than eight pages?" I ask her.
"If you can get that many then yes. But eight is the most any of my students in the years I've taught have been able to write." She says smiling. I take my bag and pull out my twelve page essay.
"I guess I'm a first." I tell her handing her the essay.
"How many pages?" She asks flipping through them.
"Twelve single space." I tell her. I gave her the copy without a grade on it.
"I'll start reading this now." She says turning to sit at her desk.
"Do you mind if I go talk to Principle Edwards?" I ask her.
"Go right ahead." She says with a smile. I get up and walk out of the door. I'm not paying attention and run into a body. I almost fall but I grab onto his hand before I could.
"You stupid I was walking here." I yell at him. I look up and smile.
"Really Brooke?" Xavier asks me.
"Oops." I say with a smile.
"Where are you heading to?" He asks walking with me.
"The principles office." I say.
