Today is my twentieth birthday and I'm spending it with my family. I haven't been happier then I am now. Well when I was proposed to I was happier but still.
"Brooke wake up." Xavier whispers to me. I open my eyes and sit up. My stomach turns and I run to my bathroom. I throw up for a good ten minutes. I brush my teeth and walk back out to my room.
"Are you okay?" Aiden asks running to my side. I nod and walk over to my suitcases. I pull out a black floor length dress and a pair of black converse. I go back into the bathroom and get dressed. I throw my hair into a messy bun and leave my face makeup free.
I walk downstairs to be greeted by everyone already down.
"Morning sweetie." Mom says with a warm smile. I smile back at her and sit next to Aiden. I snuggle into him and look at everyone.
"Are you okay Brooke?" Riley asks me.
"Yeah." I say and close my eyes.
I wake up still in the same position I fell asleep in. Everyone was watching a movie when I wake up. I sit up and run to the bathroom. Throwing up again. I feel someone rub my back.
I finally stop throwing up and look to see Aiden was the one rubbing my back.
"Are you sick?" He asks. Only if you knew.
"I need to talk to y'all about something. Help me up please." I say and he helps me up. I rinse my mouth out and we walk back into the living room.
"Brooke you don't seem like you're okay." Dad says when we get there.
"Guys I have something to tell y'all. I'm not sick. Like sick sick. I'm pregnant." I tell them. Aiden stands frozen next to me, mom seems surprised, Ken is squealing, Xavier and Riley have their jaws hanging wide open, the boys well they are smiling like idiots, and dad, dad seems so scared. "Say something. And stop squealing please." I tell Kendall. She stops and looks at everyone. I turn to look at Aiden who is now sitting down.
"I'm going to be a father." He says to himself. He repeats this over and over again. A minute of silence is broken when Aiden jumps up. "I'm going to be a father!" He yells and picks me up. He hugs me and has a big smile the entire time. I hear everyone laughing.
"Same names we already picked out for when we did get pregnant?" I ask him. We picked names out way before I found out I was pregnant.
"Yes." He says and we turn to everyone.
"Okay so it's kinda hard hiding my belly. I'm four months and I've been wearing baggy clothing or long dresses that won't show. But I can show now. We already picked names out before I found out I was pregnant. If we have a girl her name will be Courtney. If we have a boy his name will be Clayton. Courtney Marie or Clayton James." I tell them.
"They're beautiful names. But four months?" Mom says.
"Let me go get something else on that shows it." I say and walk upstairs. I pull out a t-shirt and a pair of sweats. I walk back downstairs when I'm dressed. My belly is way more noticeable now.
"I have a doctors appointment today. I get to find out the gender. I was going to tell y'all today and get all of you to come with me. We can go out and eat afterwards. Can we do that?" I ask them. They all nod.
"Good we leave now." I tell them. Everyone was dressed already so we all drove to the hospital.
"Brooke Taylor." I tell the secretary.
"Already using my last name?" Aiden asks me.
"I've got to get used to it don't I?" I ask him and he chuckles.
"Okay please go have a seat an we will call you back shortly." She says when she comes back out. We all go over to the waiting room.
"What do you think we're having?" Aiden asks.
"A boy." I say as I put my head on his shoulder.
"Brooke are you ready?" My doctor asks when she comes out. I nod and stand up. Aiden follows me and we go into the room.
"And who is this young man?" My doctor asks as she sets everything up.
"My fiancé. The father of the baby." I tell her. She smiles and starts the sonogram.
"Okay so do you want to know the gender or do you want it to be a surprise?" She asks.
"Now." Aiden and I say together.
"Okay. There is the baby right there. Are you sure you want to know?" She asks.
"Yes." I say.
"Congratulations you're having a baby boy." She says. I start crying.
"That's baby Clayton." I tell Aiden. He smiles and looks at the computer.
"Do you want pictures?" She asks and we nod. She prints multiple pictures out. After cleaning my belly she tells us we are good to go.
The whole time we walk back to the waiting room, I'm staring at his picture. My favorite picture so far his him sucking on his hand. It just caught my eye and he reminds me so much of me.
"What are you having?" Mom asks. I don't look up because I'm too focused on this picture. There is also something weird about it. Before any of them can take the pictures I turn around and walk back into my doctors office.
"Brooke is there something wrong?" She asks.
"He has three legs." I tell her.
"What do you mean? He's perfectly healthy." She tells me. I put the picture in front of her and pointing to leg number three. Her eyes widen and she gras my hand pulling me back into a room. She set up the ultrasound and puts gel on my belly. She starts the sonogram. After a few minutes she gasps.
"What's wrong?" I ask panicked.
"Well Brooke you're having twins. Clayton is healthy. His third leg is of his brother." She says with a smile. Fresh tears come down my face. She prints pictures off and gives them to me. "Congratulations." She says hugging me. I walk out of the room back to the waiting room.
"Brooke where did you go?" Aiden asks me. I look up at him with tears running down my face. "No Clayton is okay isn't he?" He asks with tears in his eyes. I look back at the pictures and smile.
"They're okay." I tell him.
"Thank god." He said with a sigh. "Wait, they?" He asks.
"We are having twins." I tell him. Everyone around us starts cheering, well my family starts cheering.
"Clayton and Courtney? Or Clayton and Clayton?" He asks.
"Clayton and Clayton." I tell him. "But we can't name them both Clayton. Name number two?" I ask him.
"Guys we are having twin boys. Clayton James Taylor and Aaron Julian Taylor." He tells my family. They all smile.
"I'm hungry." I tell them. They laugh but we go out to eat anyways. All happy.
"Best birthday ever." I say when we get home. Everyone agrees.
