The weeks leading up to the concert flew by, much to my disgust. It was now a week until the concert, oh joy. As I sat on my bed staring at the text book and chewing on my pen my phone started to ring, I looked at the screen and smiled it was Rose, I unlocked the screen and answered the call.

'Hi' I spoke.

'Hey' she replied.

'Are you free?' she asked.

She is so silly of course I was free, I have no social life, I only ever hang out with her, Ari or my family. It's not as if I had a boyfriend keeping me occupied every minute of the day. I am always studying well, I say studying more like staring at the book and hoping that it goes into my head.

'Studying, but if you want me to go out, I can study another time' again I laughed at myself and how bad I am at studying.

It is a wonder how I ever got into University, I am so bad at studying and concentrating. I never handed my work in on time. Although I passed all my exams it must have been a fluke or they felt sorry for how bad I actually did so they decided to let me pass.

'Are you sure?' she sounded a bit worried.

'Course' I quickly replied.

'Yey' she squeaked down the phone, obviously pleased by my answer.

'I will meet you in an hour' I told her.

'Yey' she squeaked down the line for the second time.

We said our goodbyes and then we hung up. I always do enjoy our conversations, but normally they are a little longer but there wasn't much to really to talk about, we would have more to talk about when we meet up which is a good thing. I stood up and looked in the mirror. Yikes. My hair was in a messy bun, I had joggers, a hoodie and no make-up on. I decided it would be best for society if I got changed I wouldn't want them to have to see this, it really is not a pretty sight but hey I now have a Halloween costume sorted. I slowly walked over to my wardrobe, opening it and running my hands along my clothes. Humming a tune I had heard on an advert a few days ago. After staring at my clothes for a good five minutes I decided on some dark blue skinny jeans. I pulled my joggers off and wiggled them off my feet and tugged my jeans of the hanger. I then slid them up my legs and buttoned them up. I moved onto my draws looking for a t-shirt, I decided on a grey one and changed from my hoodie to the grey t-shirt. I stood in front of the mirror again, my new outfit was a vast improvement. Now the mop on my head I call my hair. I pulled it out of the bun and ran the straighteners through it. Once I was satisfied I stuck it into a high messy ponytail. I'd much rather have my hair up and off my face, I feel more fresh. I thought for the benefit of the public that I should put some make up on. I applied a few blobs of concealer too my face and blended it in, setting it with some powder. My eyelashes looked a bit frail so I applied some mascara to them, to give them the life that they needed. I then grabbed my phone and my purse and chucked them into my bag full of crap. Then I put my leather jacket on and yanked on my white converse and threw my bag over my shoulder and headed downstairs.

'Bye Mum' I shouted.

'Bye' she shouted down the stairs.

As I walked out the door I grabbed my phone and plugged my headphones in and hit play as I strolled to Rose's.
