By the next day, I'm feeling much better, and as time goes by, I barely feel the pain anymore. During the next few weeks, we're paired up to fight a few more times. I get my share of black eyes and broken bones, but I don't mind it anymore.
The pain has a way of teaching me to be better, train harder, work more. And that makes me one of the best initiates in a short time. When we get to the shooting lessons part of training, I end up having a better aim than Matt himself. Before I know it, the first stage of training is over, and Visiting Day is coming closer and closer. I'm dreading it... what will I do if Marcus refuses to show up?
Hang around with Zeke and his family? That would just be awkward. And...what if Marcus shows up? What then?
