First Day Of School

One week later

Today was the first day of school. You could think I was happy about it. I wasn't. I wasn't really happy because I had to wake up at 6:00 A.M. I hate getting up early. When my alarm rang I groaned and got up. Since it was hot outside I wore blue shorts and a 5SOS tank top. As you can see I am a big 5SOS fan. I even went to their concert before.

After i got changed I went downstairs. I put some cereal in a bowl and ate it. After having a couple bites I heard a honk outside.

"Okay mom, I'm leaving now", I said.

Before closing the door I heard her say "have fun". I locked the door and greeted Kevin. If you guys don't know, Kevin and I have been getting along. He even said he would drive me to school everyday. What a gentleman. He is a very nice guy. At first I thought he wouldn't want to be friends with me, but I guess I was wrong.

"Ready for your first day of Jackson High?", he asked while smirking.

"Not really", I answered.

We reached the highschool. It looked like my old school. I sighed and got out of my car. I waited for Kevin and he came out. When we entered I saw faces staring at me. Let me correct that, the girls were glaring at me. Way to make a first impression. Some people also had shocked faces. We went to the main office and got out schedules and headed to our lockers. It turns out out lockers are next to each other.

"So I guess we're neighbors and locker buddies", he smirked. We had some classes together, but they were all after lunch. I sighed and went to first period. Turns out my first period is math, which I am not good at. When I came in I saw that there were assigned seats. Why would we have assigned seats in a highschool math class? I shrugged it off. It turns out I am sitting next to a girl named Emily Jones. I sat on my seat and waited for the teacher to arrive.

The bell rang and the teacher and some students came in. The brown haired girl, who I am guessing is Emily, sat in the seat next to me. "Hi", no answer, "I'm Hazel", still no answer, "I guess we are going to be math partners for the rest of the year", She turned her head and glared at me.

"You better stay away from Kevin or-",

"Ms. Jones and Ms. Patterson, please pay attention, said Mr. Johnson. Emily kept glaring at me for the rest of Math class.

After a couple of classes I went to my locker. I was putting my books in my locker when Emily decided to show up.

"You better not talk to Kevin again or you will regret it.", I just stood there.

Ha, like I was scared of her.

"Stay away from her",I heard Kevin, "We dated a long time ago and you were the one to break up with me. You can't tell her to stay away from me", Kevin looked angry. Emily scowled at me and walked away with a mad face.

"Sorry about that, she dated me before... you know what, I will talk to you later", after that he left.

The rest of the day went by in a blur. The sad thing was that I only made 3 friends so far, including Kevin. The other ones were Melanie and Katie.

Sorry it took long to update. It has been a rough week with testing going on. Well, I am free for now so I might update in a couple days. I am drafting the next chapter right now.
