In the midnight of my heart
I walk this street alone
I've wandered so very far away
Straight into the unknown
The trappings of this life
Are caught inside my mind
This road tonight is long
And this distance is so unkind
But if I walk this pathway straight
And follow it until the end
I will hold you close inside my arms
And soon my heart will mend
