Moonlit Reflections

The moonlit reflections lie in the shadow of the water's edge

I look down and see it from this sloping ledge

Falling forward, rushing time

Racing reason with no rhyme

Like a spell uncast

Hope will sink fast

Unsung songs whisper light

As the shadows become bright

Stirring truth becomes a lie

As moonlit reflections slowly die

On my ledge, the world at arm's length

Where do I find my hidden strength

The stars twinkle, the stars shine

But the now fading hope is not mine

Goodbye to sorrow, goodbye to pain

Goodbye to the reflections that will stain
