Chapter Five: Surprise!

       After a bit of talking Nicole ended up showing up. Zane fled and of course I followed. We ended up heading back to O'khasis.
       I was ordered to go and see Zane in his house. I did as I was told and ran to his house. Once I went up the stairs and opened the door I saw the black haired demon sitting in his red velvet chair.
       "Take a seat Tracey. I need to have a talk with you." I nod and sit in a chair in front of his desk. "I do not appreciate you defying me. It is, against you're Jury of Nine protocol." I take a deep breath waiting for my punishment.
       "I need you to go back to Phoenix Drop and collect my brother. I trained you as a Jury member and a Shadow-Knight! Now do as I say!" Zane got up and went to the window behind his wooden desk.
       "Oh, and don't forget that amulet I gave you. You will know when to use it. Guards!" Zane yelled. Two O'khasian guards came and escorted me to my boat. I climbed aboard before sailing off to Bright Port.

~~Next Day~~

       It was early afternoon and I finally made it to the coast of Bright Port. I was told to stop here and there would be a horse waiting for me.
       Once I got to Bright Port I saw a tan stallion with a black mane and tale. "Lady Tracey," the guard said. I bowed my head thanking the guard and jumped on. I road back to Phoenix Drop's front gates to see it being rebuilt by Brendan.
       I take off my mask and red cloak, stuffing it into my bag connected to the saddle. I walked my horse in through the front gates before being stopped by a familiar blue haired man. "Tracey?!" Dante yelled.
       I gave a small smile. "Yup. In the flesh." I watched as a smile appeared on Dante's face. "Come, follow me! Aphmau would probably like to see you." I jumped off my horse and walked into the village.
       Once we reached the cobble staircase I gave the reins to Dante and walked up the stairs to Aphmau's house. Once I reached the top and walked in I saw the raven haired lord sitting at the kitchen table.
       "Oh sorry. Am I interrupting something?" I asked when I saw Katelyn sitting at the table as well. Aphmau turned around before standing up. "No, no. We were just discussing something's about the war, that's all."
       I give a quick smile before looking at Katelyn. "Lady Aphmau, please excuse me but I would like to have a word with Tracey." Aphmau nodded before we walked outside, and towards the purple tree.
       "It's been a while Tracey. Didn't think I would see you here anytime soon. So, what did Zane want this time?" I shake my head, playing dumb. "What do you mean? I left on my own accord."
       "You and I both know that is not true! That demon would never let you sneak off without finding out! He must have sent you here."
       "I have a punishment job. I docked my boat at Bright Port, but rented a horse to travel here first. I was supposed to be figuring out where I could find information on the amulet. Boring stuff, but important to him."
       "Alright. I guess I could believe that. Now go in and speak to Lady Aphmau. I will be waiting to talk to you later." I nod before walking back inside. I still see Aphmau setting some tea on the kitchen table.
       "I made some tea. Is that alright?" She asks turning around. I nod and take a seat across from her. "I want to apologize again for my absence for the war. I am just glad that nothing too bad happened."
       "Yes. It was hard, but I'm glad no one was hurt too bad. War is not something I would like to drag anyone into, but I couldn't do anything to stop it. I can't blame you for not staying." I put my head down taking a deep breath.
       "It. . . wasn't right. For me to leave. And at a time of need! I just. . ." I trailed of holding my head. A pounding came. It felt like a sharp pain in my brain. "E-excuse me!" Say running out of her house.
       I run through the wheat fields into the trees before my knee's gave in. I fell to the ground holding my head. "ARGHHHH!" I scream in pain. It finally stopped. I felt. . . powerful. I stood up and looked at my left hand to see it covered up by red armor. My eyes widen when everything sank in.
       I lifted my right hand to see myself holding a red sword. I heard a noise behind me. I turn around but to see nothing. I calm myself and close my eyes. I feel myself get weaker till I felt normal.
       I open my eyes and look down at myself to see I am normal now. I shake my head and run into Phoenix Drop. I needed to talk to Katelyn.
