I sat on the stairs at the bottom of Lucinda's tower. I yawn getting tired of waiting. It's been 3 hours of just sitting here waiting. I am surprised Aphmau hadn't come back to have a talk with me.
"Laurence I think you should see this." I turn around to see Lucinda standing there. I stand up quickly following her up the ladder and to her work area.
"I did some digging and found some useful sample of blood I could use. I did use it, but the results are. . . surprising." I look to her searching her eyes to see if she was lying. She wasn't at all.
"It's Tracey's blood Laurence," Lucinda said with a bit of sadness in her voice. "There's no way. How could it be her blood?!" I say starting to raise my voice.
"I have no clue, but that person you were going to look for is Tracey. I took the blood test two times. It's correct." I shake my head not believing what Lucinda was saying. "If it is true then what does she have to do with Garroth's disappearance? That's what I-," I cut myself off when a flash of those girls crystal blue eyes popped in my mind.
"Wait a second. The girl that knocked me out had crystal blue eyes like Tracey. Could she be her?" Lucinda thought for a minute. "It is possible, but why would she kidnap Garroth, and attack you and Aphmau? That's what doesn't make any sense."
I looked around hoping to find an answer, but of course nothing. "Remember when you left to Meteli, and you heard about a Jury of Nine member having the name Tracey? Maybe all this has to do with that," Lucinda said looking at me.
"Your right. . . okay! Lucinda I need to go to O'khasis. Could you cover me until I come back?" Lucinda gives her normal smirk. "Have fun in O'khasis," she says. I smile and run out of her tower.
Garroth's POV:
I watched as Kalla started to make some more of that red liquid that she would give to the girl. "What is that even supposed to do?" I ask. Kalla didn't give me a response.
The tent curtain opened to reveal that girl. "Master wants you. I will watch over the target." Kalla nods and stands, leaving the tent.
The girl sat down where Kalla was sitting and took the note book. She set it in front of her and opened it. She grabbed the ink and pen and started to write on an empty page.
I watch as she dipped the pen in the ink before writing. She stopped for a moment then looked to me. "You are watching me," she said almost robotically.
I quickly looked away, but looked back a few seconds later to see her crystal blue eyes still looking at me. "What?" I ask a little uncomfortable. The girl shakes her head and looks back to her note book.
After a bit she flips a few pages backwards and starts to finish that red liquid Kalla was working on. Once she was finished she poured it into the syringe and slowly injected it into her wrist.
Again her eyes flashed red before turning back to normal. The girl closed the note book and put it back where it was. Once she stood she turned to the tent entrance as Kalla walked in. The girl bowed her head before leaving without a word.
Kalla walked over to the red liquid before sighing. "She finished it again," she said plopping herself on the ground. She looked to me giving me a quick smile. "Get some rest. . . you have a big day tomorrow, prince Garroth."
~~Next Day~~
An hour after I wake up that mystery girl came into the tent and helped me to my feet. "Come on blondie. Let's go!" She said pushing me outside. I squinted my eyes from the sudden bright sunlight.
Once my eyes adjust I see Shade in front of me. "Okay. Let's head out shall we?" Shade says leading us to four horses. Shade mounts a black horse, Kalla mounts a chestnut horse with all of her herbs, and that girl mounts a redish brown horse. Finally I mount a grey horse, but I was still tied I up. The rope was connected to the front of the girls saddle.
I heard a twig snap behind us. I turn around, but to see nothing. "Alright! Let's go come on!" Shade yells. We head out back towards a wooded area. Soon we come across a hill and guess what I see.
"Welcome home Prince. Take a good look I think you will like it," Shade said from up front. I stare wide eyed, and soon the power house O'khasis came into view. "Welcome home Prince Garroth."
