I heard a loud clanging noise ringing in my ears. I slowly open my eyes before sitting up. I look around squinting to see I am in a tent type thing.
"Good morning blondie," I see a women say. She had white hair and a light blue dress. "Who are you?" I ask in a raspy voice. She gives me a small smile. "Your in a tent tied up." I look behind me to see my wrists tied up with rope.
"Where are we?" I ask. The lady stays quiet. She walks closer to me looking into my eyes. "Your kinda cute you know that." I scoot backwards a bit, but she leaned closer.
"Kalla! What did master say about the target," a feminine voice said behind her. I saw Kalla roll her eyes before standing up and turning around to face where the voice had come from. "Oh please! I'm not going to listen to a sick man like him."
Kalla took a step to the side so I could see who the voice belonged to. My eyes widen when I see the girl who knocked out Laurence last night. Her crystal blue eyes, long black cloak, mask that covered her mouth and nose (picture of mask below). The girl looked at me before looking back to Kalla. "Like I said, the master had orders! Obey them," the girl says taking another step into the tent. "Ya ya, I know! I have to clean him up. The rope is cutting his wrists. I will be out in a bit."
"Then I take my leave," the girl says before turning around and leaving the tent. I look to Kalla, seeing her take a stone bowl and grinding some green herbs together. She then put some water in it before turning to me with a rag.
"This should help keep it from getting infected," Kalla said putting the rag in the green water and dabbing it on the cuts and sores from the rope. "Thanks," was all I could say. It seemed as if she was the only one that was on my side. Well that was just by how much she has done already.
"I am not supposed to talk to you, but I can't help but feel as if I should. I didn't want to be in this mess. I was forced into it." I looked my right to see Kalla have a sad look on her face.
"The man who that girl was talking about. . . what is his name?" Kalla looks up at me. Searching my eyes for why I wanted to know. "It's Shade. Apprentice of Gene the shadow-knight. That's all I really know about him." My eyes widen.
If he was Gene's apprentice then he couldn't have meant well by capturing me. "Who is that girl?" I ask trying to get more information on the matter. "To be honest I can't really say. Shade said he need the girl. Once he brought her to me I did as he asked though I is a little more."
I was curious so I pushed on with the questions. "What do you mean?" Kalla got up and went over to a small low table. She sat down on her knees cleaning the bowl out.
"I helped her. I decided to tend to her wound even after Shade told me not to. He could care less about her physical health. All he wanted was to use her for who knows what. . ." Kalla trailed off.
"What?" I ask. She stopped what she was doing not turning around to look at me. "I feel bad for the girl. She doesn't know-," she was cut off when that same girl came into the tent.
"Master says it is time for my medicine," the girl said walking over to Kalla and kneeling down. Kalla sighs, and takes a syringe. Kalla grabs a crimson type of potion. She pours the liquid into the syringe before injecting it into the girls wrist.
The girls eyes flashed red for a split second before she up and left without a single word. I heard a small sob from Kalla. "S-she. . . she doesn't know," Kalla chocked out.
I looked to her as I could feel that sadness radiating off of her. "Tell me where we are," I say sternly. Kalla sniffs and turns around to face me. "Well mister prince. We are actually at your home land."
I thought for a second before I got an idea. "Do you think you could untie me tonight so I can sneak off for a second. I will come back so you don't get cau-," Kalla cut me off.
"No. No I won't do that! You don't understand what would happen if you get caught! Not only will you get hurt but so will I and that girl! Trust me when I say this. . . you don't want that girl hurt. If you know what's best for you that is." With that Kalla got up and left me to my thoughts.
