Once I got to the guard station I saw Katelyn. I ran up to her. "We need to talk." Katelyn nods as I lead her to the grave near the bridge. "What do you want to talk to me about?" Katelyn asks.
"Something is wrong. I don't. . . I feel like people aren't safe. I need you to warn Aphmau. I think Zane is up to something. Something big," I finish looking at my hands with my back turned to Katelyn.
"That was out of no where, but whatever keeps this place safe. I will, talk to you later," Katelyn says slowly while I hear her walk away. I take deep breaths.
I reach into my pocket pulling out that necklace Zane had given me. "What are you?" I whisper to myself. "Tracey?" I hear a male voice say behind me. I turn around holding the necklace behind me.
"Laurence! I uhhh, don't worry about me. I was just walking and stumbled onto Ungrth's grave." I say slowly putting the necklace back into my pocket.
"Are you sure? I saw you run over here with Katelyn." I was speechless. I smirk and put my head down so my bangs cover my eyes. "It's crazy. To think. . . t-to think about. . ." I soon feel a lump form in my throat.
I quickly turn around with my back facing Laurence. "I guess you would know though," I choke out. I could feel his confusion to what I was talking about. "What are you talking about Tracey?" I held my right hand to my chest.
I stayed silent. Debating on what to say. "Is what you turn into define who you are? Does being someone you wish you weren't make you a bad person?" The words slid off my tongue like it was nothing.
"Well. . . it depends on who you are, and what you have done. Why do you ask?" I felt the lump in my throat get bigger. It was hard to speak so I said nothing. "Tracey?" I tried to speak again but failed. I heard Laurence take a step forward but I put my left hand up.
I take a deep breath. "I can't put my finger on it. The feeling of not being able to trust anyone. The feeling that you could loose you're sanity in one instant." I turn around to face Laurence who is 5 feet in front of me. "You would know wouldn't you? The feeling I'm feeling." I stopped myself when I felt a familiar sense.
I quickly turn around. The sense came from the shrubbery behind the grave. "Stay here," I say as I walk around the grave and into shrubbery. As I pass trees it turned quiet. The only thing I heard was the sound of the birds.
The sense got stronger before it just, disappeared. "Hello love," I heard someone whisper in my ear before darkness.Laurence's POV:
I wait at Ungrth's grave. Soon seconds turned into minutes. Finally it took to long. I unsheathe my sword and go the way Tracey went. As I walk through the trees I stumble across a necklace. It had a red stone on it.
I pick it up and look around. As I look at it then it hit me. "Oh no!" I whisper yell to myself. I sprint back to Aphmau's house.
I burst through the doors, Aphmau turns around quick with wide eyes. "Laurence?! What's going on?" I take a moment to catch my breath before speaking. "It's Tracey! I think she is in trouble!"Tracey's POV:
I slowly open my eyes. I felt cold stone under me. As I slowly sit up I feel rope around my wrists behind me. As my eyes adjust to the light I see I am in a corner of a cave. "Where am I?" I ask myself.
"Somewhere, where you don't want to be," I hear a feminine voice say. I turn my head to the left to see a women with Silver hair, and green eyes. She was wearing a long flowing light blue dress.
"Who are you?" I ask with confusion. "My name is Kalla." I watch as she goes to a stone table with potions and herds. She takes a stone bowl and smashes some green herds before putting a little water with it. She grabs a rag and walks over to me.
She bends down and puts the rag in the greenish water. She then puts the rag on the right side of my head. Once she does a stinging sensation occurs. I groan. Kalla hushes me.
"He hit you pretty well in the head. I'm just cleaning it up for you." Once she brushes it against my head a few times she stands up. She walks back over to the stone table putting the now bloody rag and stone bowl on the table. "Who brought me here?"
I didn't get an answer this time. Just silence. My head started to throb from the gash on my head. "I cannot speak to you anymore then I already have." She turns around, but does not look me in the eyes. "I will see you in the morning." With that she takes her leave out of the cave.
I sat in the corner helplessly. My thoughts wonder as I think of where I could be. This placed looked so familiar, but also so new. As I sit there I felt myself get tired. My eyelids shutting ever so slowly. Time went on till finally it stopped as I close my eyes for rest.
