I heard the sound of footsteps and a rock getting kicked across the cave floor. I open and shut my eyes slowly sitting up and leaning against the cave wall. I moved my legs around across the cave floor to try and wake them. "Good, you're awake."
I finally open my eyes all the way to see Kalla. She walks to the stone table and grabs a potions. She puts the purple liquid into a syringe. Once she was done she walked over to me. "What is that?" I ask as stern as I could. She looks at me before sighing.
"It will help with the pain," she says as she quickly slides the needle into the left side of my neck. I could feel the cold liquid flow into my blood stream. I blink my eyes a few times before I felt dizzy.
"Did you give it to her?" I hear a male voice say. I look around to see a blurred figure walking closer to me. "Yes," I hear Kalla say. "Okay then! Let's begin." I see the man crouch down to my level. He holds my chin so I am looking at him.
"Do you know what you are?" I hear the man ask. I give a drowsy nod. "What are you?" I take deep breaths. "A. . . Shadow. . . Knight," I say breathlessly. I hear the man let out a small scoff.
"What do you know about Lady Aphmau? What is her weak spot?" I tried to fight the question. The more I resist I felt a pain shoot through me. Even if I tried they slid off my tongue anyway.Laurence's POV:
I stood at the front gates waiting for Dante. I heard footsteps behind me. turn around to see Aphmau. "Bring her back unharmed please," Aphmau says. I nod in approval.
"Lady Aphmau. I am sorry to say, but Dante cannot go on this mission. He is getting sick. It could be bad if he went, so instead I will go with Laurence." I watch as Garroth wishes her a farewell and walks off behind me.
"Be carful," Aphmau says as I walk over to my horse. Garroth was already mounted so we head off towards Meteli.
"Where do you think she could be?" Garroth asks. I think for a moment. "Don't really know. All I found was this necklace of hers. I saw her have it before she ran off."
The rest of the way to Meteli was quiet. Once we reached Meteli I went to go speak with The Lord to see if he knew anyone by the name of Tracey.
I knock on the door of the lords house. The guar opens the door and I walk in. "AHHH Laurence! What brings you to Meteli?" I give The Lord a smile and a hand shake. "Well we are actually looking for someone named Tracey-," I was cut off by the head guard.
"Tracey the Swordsmen?" He asked I looked at him in confusion. "What? No only Tracey, but who is Tracey the Swordsmen?" The head guard looked I The Lord before back to me. "Tracey the Swordsmen is a Jury of Nine member. She was very good at her job till she disappeared and reappeared. After she had come back from wherever she was, she was never the same."
This was interesting, but not the person we were looking for. I think. "Thanks for the information, but I dot think we are talking about the same person. Please, if you see a girl with brown hair and bright blue eyes contact us."
The Lord and head guard nod as I leave the house. Once I get outside I see Garroth standing by his horse. "We won't find anything here," I say as I walked towards him. I mount my horse along with Garroth.
"The person who took Tracey could be anywhere, but if I had to guess it wouldn't be too far away from Phoenix Drop." I nod at Garroth's words. We rod off towards Bright Port. We were going to search all the neighboring villages first.
Once we reach Bright Port I notice all the O'khasian guards had fled after the war. "Let's go," I say as we ride out of the tree line and to the village fence. We tie our horses up to the fence before walking in.
"Look around to see if we can find anything. We will meet back here before noon." Garroth nods before walking off.
As I walk around I come across a tavern. I walk inside and instantly the smell of alcohol intruded my nose. I walk in a little bit more to see a group of O'khasian guards sitting in the back. I try to hide my face as best as I can. I sit at the bar with the stools glancing over at the table every once and a while to look around.
After a bit of looking around, a man caught my eye. He looked to be around my age. He had dark brown hair and was wearing Jury of Nine armor. It was green.
After a while I leave the tavern. I didn't find anyone there worth talking to. Once I leave I see a lady across the way walk into a herb shop. She had silver with a flowing light blue dress. She also had a brown cloak wrapped around her.
I walk into the herb shop to see that same lady buying a bunch of different herbs. It was like she knew what she was buying.
I act as if I am looking around and eavesdrop on the conversation she was having with the cashier. "So your back in for more herbs already? Who did ya hurt this time lass," the old man said (cashier).
"It wasn't me this time okay. I never do anything wrong. It's for me anyway. No one else," the silver haired girl said. The old man let out a hardy laugh. "Ahhh, you don't fool me for a second Kalla. I knows what you've been doing. Over at the wolf village. You can't hide there forever with that man. You'll get blamed for his doings. You now this right?"
The silver haired girl name Kalla nodded. "Thanks again," she said before leaving.
This might not have anything to do with Tracey, but it sounds like whoever she has captive is hurt.
