Kyle's POV

It's been a few weeks since the Eden and drinking ordeal, and I got the job at the Cafe. It's nice because I only work every second day, so Taylor always comes to visit me.

I had a pretty high fever after that for aboit a week, but Taylor being as amazing as he is, looked after me. True gentleman.

"Reggie what's the time?" I call over to him, pulling some mufins from the oven and setting them aside to cool. They were pretty lenient about how I made them, so I altered a few things and let the owner have a taste. She absolutely loved it and said it's made her happier then her husband.

"You get off in 5!" Reggie calls back. He was the owner, Pamela's son.

"Alright! Hey do the bus routes up north come down here by any chance?" I ask, walking towards him.
"Uh Yea, if you turn left at that intersection there is a bus stop right there that goes north. Where are you trying to go?" Reggie asks. He's been scrubbing at the same stain for five minutes, refusing to believe that it's going to stay.

"Um, that ziplining place. I forger the name." I scratch the back of my head.
"Oh alright, yea it stops like a block away from the main road there. You can either walk the ten minutes, or just I don't know, hitch hike." He says. I chuckle and shake my head.

"Why are you going there?" He asks, following me back into the kitchen.

"Taylor works there. I get of earlier then him and he always comes visit me, so I'm going to surprise him. I can take a couple muffins right?"
"Dunno, ask mom." Pamela demands every employee call her mom, regardless if they are or not. It's strange, but easy for me to get into the habit of.

"Ma!" I call. I wait a fee seconds before calling again.
"Yea?" She pops her head from the storage closet we have. It's got a couple fridges and shelves stocked with food.

"Can I take a few muffins with me?" I twiddle my fingers as a nervous habit.
"What for?"
"I'm going to visit my boyfriend." Thank God I got out of stuttering. I hated it.

"Oh yea darling you go right ahead." She smiles at me. I beam at her and kiss her cheek as I walk by. Might seem strange because it's my boss, but this place is very family like, kind of like when I worked at strobez with Dave and everyone. I miss that place.

I switch out the $5 bill in my pocket for the three dollars I need for bus change. I just gave myself a two dollar tip. Oh well. I put 4 muffins in one of our take out boxes and grin when the smell radiates off them. Chocolate chip with a caramel stuffed centre and a cookie baked into the top.

"Bye guys!" I yell before leaving. The bus shows up a minutes later to my relief, and then I'm on my way to Taylor's work.

I get off when I recognize the area and start walking down the gravel road. I see the mountains and posts long before I get there. I nervously head inside and see a ginger lady at the desk typing away.

She looks up, then looks down and keeps typing, only to look up again when she's done.
"Hey hun welcome to Sky high ziplining, is it just you?" She asks with a very fake smile plastered on her face.

"I'm actually just dropping by to visit someone. Is Taylor Crow around anywhere?" I ask politely.

"He should be finishing up with a group in a minute. What are you like a cousin or something?" She is now frowning.
"Boyfriend." I answer.
"Oh." She looks upset. Maybe she likes Taylor? That's weird though she looks like she's in her 30's.

Then in walks a large number of people who look horrendously like tourists. I step aside in case they have to talk to the ginger.

Trailing behind is Taylor talking to a teenage girl who is listening very intently to whether has to say. I set the box down on a waiting bench pushed against a window and slowly make my way over.
