Chapter 9

-12:01(PM):Eeveelution Base Camp-

"Can she walk?" A familiar voice asked, worry in its tone.
A sigh came from the room, "Yes, but don't ware her out." Another voice replied.
A slowly open my eyes, I see Genevieve and Jake.
"She's awake." Genevieve said blankly, she walked over with a bunch of herbs, many scents lingered in my nose.
Jake's eyes sparkled with excitement when he saw me.
"Oh good, I though you wouldn't be able to get the brand tour!" He purred, relief hinting in his tone.
"T...tour?" I asked weakly.
"Yeah, I wanted to show you around the place." Jake purred his tail brushing across my ears.
"Well, that doesn't sound too bad." I replied, my ears flicking his tail away.
"Genevieve said that you can go. But don't stress yourself. If you're feeling bad tell me emedently ok?" He purred.
"Uh sure." I said, slowly getting up.
"Follow me!" Jake said running out of the cave.
"Wait for me!" I said, trying to run.
When I caught up I was exhausted.
"Oh! Sorry Eevee, I forgot that you can't run. Do need to go back to Genevieve?" Jake said in a worried cry.
"No....just....wait for me to catch up." I replied.
"Ok!" Jake said wit excitement.
"Where to first?" I asked, tilting my head slightly to the side.
"Hmmm...." Jake thought, "Oh! I know! I'll show you everyone's rooms, then you'll be able to meet them all." He purred.

-6:29(PM): Dirt Path-

"Almost there!" Jake said slowly skipping ahead.
Jake stopped a few feet ahead, he looked around.
"What's wrong?" I asked.
"Someone's here." Jake growled.
"But aren't we in the camp?" I asked.
"We are in the camp, just in the forest. We haven't marked our territory here, so any pokémon could come out anytime." Jake relpied, a small growl followed shortly after.
"Don't worry Eevee I'll protect you." Jake growled, his tail and body protecting the front side.
I walked away from Jake, "Jake I appreciate the thought, but I don't need to be protected." I said, making my tail glow the silver color it did before.
"But, you're injured..." Jake trailed off, worry in his eyes.
"Injured or not, I can protect myself." I responded a silent growl in my voice.
I turned toward the bushes when a small stock snapped.
I growled, my tail glowing a iron like silver.
"YAHHHH!" Jake yelled, jumping in front of me, his mouth open, like he was ready to bite someone with his teeth.
Suddenly, a pink glowing wall appeared in front of Jake, making a loud Cling!
Jake fell back, and the wall disappeared.
The brushes shook, and out of the brushes came...
A Sylveon?
"Oh, Rose, It's you." Jake said relieved.
Rose? Was that the Sylveon in their camp?
"What are you guys doing out here? Genevieve sent me out to find you after you didn't come back. Don't you know that it's almost sunset?!" Rose exclaimed, a mix of worry and anger in her tone.
As we walked back to the camp, Jake slowly moved closer and closer, until our pelts finally brushed.
"So um...... Sorry about what happened." Jake apologized, a faint glow of pink coming from his cheeks.
"It's ok. It's just that I don't want to look like the hopeless girl that always needs saving." I relpied, trying to cheer him up.
"Thanks." Jake said, brushing his face against mine, his face even a brighter shade of red then it was before.
"Ugh.." I said shocked as he brushed against me, blushing from embarrassment.
Jake finally pulled away, his cheeks still carrying a hint of red in them,"Let's go together. As a family. " He smiled, walking over the hill, following Rose.
I stood there on the dirt path, thinking about what happened.
A..family?
