Chapter Eight

I felt stuff come out of my eyes. The stuff slowly rolled down my cheeks. Something was breaking inside of me. I... I... I was in pain. The girl was kissing the guy I loved. And that guy... that guy... was kissing back. He seemed to like it... wait no... not like it... love it...

I... I was just a toy... I didn't mean nothing to him... I walked up to Zane... my blood was boiling inside of me... but I was broken... I am so confused...

Zane opened his eyes and stared straight at me. Quickly pulling away. "Karin!" He pushed the girl away as he slowly walked up to me. "W-What are you doing here...?"

"..." Nothing. Nothing came out of my mouth.

The girl grabbed his arm and pulled him back towards her. "Don't worry about her... she had her chance and turned you down. Remember? You told me that." I didn't turn him down... did I...? I don't think I did though.

"I know but... it's just that..." He stared at me with a sad look then frowned angrily. "She's right... you had your chance Karin..." Zane wrapped his arm around her arm. "Now don't start acting like a baby and grow up!"

Like a baby? I frowned at him and slightly nodded. "You're right... and I thought I loved you... guess I was just acting like a baby, wasn't I?" I whispered and flew away.

Why? Why did you have to fall for a demon? You broke the rule... why? Why, Karin?

I landed on a rooftop, watching the view. It was a nice view. Really. You could see the sun slowly leaving the sky as the moon was taking its place. "K-Karin?"

Turning around, I saw him... Why did he have to com e here...? I quickly turned and looked back at the view as the lights of the city and the moon became the new sun.

"I know you hate me... I just... I didn't know you... um loved me..." I heard his voice and footsteps getting louder. "Look at me." Zane's cold finger touched my chin and turned me to face him. "I... I'm sorry."

I stared at him with a surprised look. He said he was sorry...

"I... I don't care..." I can't believe what just came out of my mouth. I should always care but this time... I don't feel good.

"Well aren't you an angel? Shouldn't you care about everything?" Zane grabbed my hands lightly as he looked at me with a serious look. "What's wrong?"

I stared at his hands holding mine. "What's wrong?" I whispered. "It's just..."

He laughed and moved his hands away from me, making me feel empty for some unknown reason. "I guess it is. But I'm used to it. Hey... um... Angel. You don't mind if I go, now? Right? After all, I saved you."

I nodded. What am I doing? I shouldn't let him go. "You can go." I'm surprised about what I just said and he was also surprised hearing that coming out from the lips of an angel. "B-But just don't do anything bad that will cause other angels to send you back."

Devil 7849370 smiled with a nod. "If you say so... bye cutie!"

I frowned. My blood started to boil. Quickly moving my hands away from him, I got up. "I did everything for you! I broke the rules! Just! For! You! I really did love you! And! And this is how you repay me!" Did I just yell?

His face was written with the word shocked a million times.

I slowly sat down, staring at the view again. "I... I'm sorry for yelling. Forget I said anything. Please forgive me. I didn't mean to."

"It's okay. Really. I'm glad you took out your anger on me and I'm sorry about kissing the girl..."

I smiled and nodded, hugging him quickly. Wrapping my arms around his neck as I rested my head on his shoulder. "I... I forgive you Zane."

"Thanks." Zane's arms slowly wrapped around my waist. "I forgive you too." We stayed there for a couple of seconds even though it seemed like forever. "Hey... you wanna... well you know?" Zane's smile turned into a smirk and he winked at me.

"No thank you." I giggled and he slowly pulled away and set me down on his lap.

"You know you want to though." I laughed and shook my head.

"Not yet."

"So that means you will want to soon. Right?"

I shrugged. "As long as I don't find out you have another girl." What am I saying? I'm going crazy...

"I promise I'm not. So wait..." He looked at me with wide eyes. "Are you... um.... my girlfriend?"

"Um... of course." AAHH!! I'm his girlfriend. You're making a bad decision, Karin! But... it's okay to break the rules just this once.... For him....

"Great." He chuckled as he slowly leaned towards me, closing his eyes.

Um... what does he want...? I don't know what to do...

Zane's eyes opened with a chuckle. "Come in, Karin. It's just a kiss." He used his fingers to close my eyes for me, just seeing a slight smile splattered on his face before I saw darkness. "Now just lean towards me and... well you know how to kiss, right? You've seen Julie and Kevin kiss, right?"

Julie and Kevin are the names of Emma's parents. They are really romantic and sometimes their romance get in the way which makes them forget Emma. "Um... yes I do." I nodded.

"Well then. Don't get nervous. It's just a kiss." But that's breaking the rules!!! Doesn't he understand?! But like I said... it's worth breaking.

I leaned towards him as I felt his hot breath getting closer and closer. What seemed like forever but were only seconds, I felt Zane's soft lips against mine. Zane was slowly kissing me as I kissed him back.

We stayed like there for one or two minutes until I pulled away, looking at him with a slight smile. "Thank y-" My heart was beating faster until it suddenly stopped. My world was spinning around me. Darkness was slowly taking over.

The only thing I hardly heard before I was taken into the darkness was Zane's voice, "Don't worry... It's just... Remember... I said... angels... kiss... remember.... life..." I could hardly make sense what he was saying. The only thing I heard was a couple of words. "It's starting..."
