Chapter Ten

(Continuing Flashback)

It's my birthday! My birthday! Jumping out of bed, I quickly changed into the only neat and beautiful clothes I had. A blue polka dot dress with a black background. "Happy birthday, big sis!" Jake smiled as he waved at me, walking past my bedroom.

I ran out my bedroom, my whole family was there. My brother, Jake. My mom, my uncle, Luis, my aunt, Veronica, and my baby cousin, Mike. "Happy Birthday!" They all yelled happily as they smiled. I laughed and hugged every one of them.

Out of nowhere, I felt arms wrapped around my waist. "Happy birthday, my angel." I giggled and turned around, seeing the one and only, Jared.

"Thank you." Within a second, Jared's soft lips were pressed against me. This is my first kiss and it's with the person I love. I smiled against his lips and kissed him back.

After receiving a couple of 'awwwes' and 'that's so cute' and some applauding, we pulled away. "I love you my angel."

"I love you too."

"KKKKAAAAAAARRRRRIIIIIIINNNN!!!!!" I heard yelling, looking at the door was my only friend. Carol. Her long curly blonde hair, bouncing all over the place as she ran up to me, hugging me tightly. "Hey!! How's my bestie been? Why didn't you tell me you were sick? I could've bought you you're medicine, you know?" I forgot to mention. Carol has a big mansion and well... she's rich.

"I just didn't want to." I shrugged and slightly smiled, hugging her back.

"Well okay then." She smiled and grabbed my arm. "If you don't mind, sir. I'm taking your girlfriend out for a small walk. Okay?" Jared nodded and took a seat.

"Just don't hook her up with anybody. Understood?" He said, raising an eyebrow.

"Understood." She laughed and dragged me outside.

After walking, we walked to the park, sitting down on a bench, looking around.

"Jared, huh? Your boyfriend." She said, looking at me.

"Yes."

"How come? You knew I had a major crush on him?"

"Because... well... I don't know... he's been really amazing to me."

"And to me also!" She glared at me as I sighed.

"How?"

"Umm... well.... He talks to me."

"That's amazing, huh?" I sighed quietly to myself from her response.

"Nice to meet you beautiful ladies." I look behind me to see a tall man. Black hair. Messy. Blue eyes. He was clean. From the high class. I can tell by the suit he was wearing.

"Beautiful ladies?" Carol looked at me with a surprised look.

"Of course." He smiled, handing me a rose. "Though. You look gorgeous." I light blushed.

"B-But I look stunning, right?" Carol said, standing on her knees.

"Hmm... eh... I guess." Carol frowned. He chuckled and grabbed my arm. "Close your eyes." He whispered.

"Close my eyes?" I stared at him confused. "No. I'm not going to do what a stranger tells me to d-"

"I'll close them!" Carol rose her hand up quickly and closed them tightly.

"What are you doing, Carol?" I raised my eyebrows, shocked.

"Hmm?" The guy turned and faced Carol. "I guess you can." He shrugged and chuckled. "Now. Go ahead and close those beautiful eyes of yours."

Carol closed her eyes as I just stared at her.

"Well isn't she obedient." He smirked, saying it in a soft whisper. The guy looked at me. "Now stay still." Out of nowhere, he took out a bat, making the bat fly straight to my face.
