"An angel... another angel..." Zane growled. His hands on his head as he shook his head. "KARIN!"
"What?" I frowned, grabbing onto Silver as I swayed him back and forth on my arms. "Isn't he adorable?"
"Of course he is... but an angel?!" Zane's eyes grew with anger. "He's a boy! And an angel!"
"So what?" I glared at Zane. It hurt me to hear that. It felt like Zane didn't love Silver just because he was an angel. An innocent adorable little creature. "I know plenty of guys who are angels."
"I didn't want one of my sons to be an angel."
"What about Kimberly?"
"She's a girl."
I sighed. James and Kimberly flew around me, examining their new sibling.
"Told you it was going to be an angel." Kimberly giggled, looking at James as she stuck her tongue out at him.
"Means he's weak. Like you." James said, crossing his arms.
"James!" I glared at him. "Nobody is weak. He's an angel. Your sister is an angel. I'm an angel. That doesn't mean we're weak."
"Whatever you say, mom." I sighed. All this was hurting me. I loved all my children for who they were, but for what they are, but Zane saw it differently and it hurt me.
"Let's all get some rest." I smiled, handing Silver to Zane. "Kimberly, James. Let's go get some clouds to make a crib for your new sibling. Zane, take care of Silver for me. Please. Get along with him for who he is, not for what he is." I grabbed onto Kimberly's and James' hand before flying off.
Narrator's POV
Zane stood there. Staring down at his son as Karin left with her children. He loved him, but Zane always dreamed of having his sons as demons and his daughter as angels with Karin. He didn't know what he was feeling. He felt hurt and joy at the same time. He was confused.
The only person he knew that would be able to help him was the one and only Satan. With a blink of an eye, Zane transported to hell. Silver cried, catching every demon's attention.
"a baby..." they all whispered to each other. "It's a baby... Zane... Zane's baby... an angel... no a demon baby..."
With everybody talking, Zane held Silver closer as he flew across underworld and towards Satan's lair.
Satan was sitting on his throne, holding his staff closely as he stood up straight, having his eyes closed, resting.
"My lord... I... I brought you my son." Zane's voice quivered. He was usually not afraid of anything, but the thought of being helped out by Satan was scaring him. He now regretted to come here in the first place.
Satan's eyes opened, green eyes beamed as he stood up from his throne. He lifted his hands up, the doors closed quickly with a loud 'boom'. "Your son?"
"Yes, sir."
"May I?" Satan extended his hands out, looking down at Silver. Zane nodded, handing Silver to his lord with a slight worried look. "No need to be worried. I know about your son, James, and your daughter, Kimberly. Just didn't know about your son... Silver?"
"Yes, sir."
"He's..." Satan stared into his eyes. Silver was scared as Satan held him up. "He's... something special..." He sighed, closing his eyes and exhaling out air.
"Sir... I don't think this is right... please... Karin will kill me..." Zane shook his head, extending his hands out.
As Zane spoke, Silver's white wings turned a dark black color, his eyes turned into a more demonic type of ones, horns popped out of Silver's head, his finger nails started to grow, an-
"WHAT ARE YOU DOING??" The doors flew open, Karin stood in front of the door with anger. "ZANE! YOU! HOW COULD YOU?!" Karin grabbed Silver from Satan's hands, holding him close to her. Karin was filled with pure sadness, she was hurt.
"Karin..."
Satan frowned. "You don't know what that kid could do if he was a demon. Move along, girl!"
"HE'S MY SON!"
"He can bring us demons more power if he was a demon!" Satan glared at Karin.
"HE'S MY SON!"
"We need to finish the process! Right now, He's a-"
"He's what?" A man walked through the gates. Sir. He looked down at Silver.
"He's a hybrid."
