In Love With The Devil

Chapter Four

Ugh! What am I saying?! A demon? And an angel? That's forbidden! It is in the rules. Demons and angels should never be attracted to each other! NEVER!

Ugh... I'm dead... wait... I-I don't like him... I know I don't but each time I talk to him, I have a weird feeling whenever around him... and that feeling is... amazing. I love it.

A day has passed and today was the day for me to take care of Emma. Flying to her house at around 1 or 2 pm, I flew through her house and stood up right next to Emma as her mother fed her. "Hello, Emma!" I smiled. Oh Emma!! I missed you so much!!

Emma giggled as she looked at me straight at my eyes as her mother looked at me, but of course, she couldn't see me. "Emma... you've been really weird and it scares me..." Her mother sighed to herself as she fed Emma squished carrots. "Eat, Emma."

Emma shook her head as she lifted her arms up for me to carry her but I shook my head. "I can't carry you, sweetie. You know that already." Emma shook her head as she pointed at me. "I know you want me to carry you but-" She quickly let out a loud scream and cry. "E-Emma... calm down..."

"Yea... I'm sorry about that. I just don't get it. I still don't do anything to her and she starts crying for some reason." I heard a voice I've heard yesterday. Quickly, I looked behind me to see Devil 7849370. "Oh hey, cutie. You're the angel of the baby? Emma?"

"Y-You're the demon for her?" I stared at him with a surprised look. "Or are you just here to mess with her and scare her? Cause if you are, I don't mind sending you back for a couple of years."

"I'm her demon and that's the whole point. I'm here to scare her." He smiled and gently put his thumb on my chin, lifting my head a bit more as he smiled and got closer to me. "And if you want, you can go and send me back, I don't mind at all. It's amazing down there."

My cheeks burned as I tried grabbing his shoulder to send him back but he quickly grabbed my wrist. "L-Let me go... or else... or else...."

Devil 7849370 got closer to me and leaned towards my ear. "Or else, what?" My cheeks turned red as I felt his hot breath on my ear. "You know, I finally know what your cheeks are doing. You're blushing. It only happens when you are embarrassed."

Now I know what they are called. Oh my dear. I really hope that Sir isn't watching. Sir is the guy who talked to me and showed me around Heaven (the guy from the first chapter). He's my boss. Each Angel has a team who ends up becoming your best friend and you all have the same boss.

"Be quiet, please."

"So I am embarrassing you." Devil 7849370 chuckled into my ear.

"I-I must make Emma happy again." I quickly said trying to pull away but his grasp was too strong. "Please, let me go."

"Okay. I will." He pulled away and smiled. "Make her happy then. Partner." He winked and smirked.

My cheeks- I mean. I blushed and walked up to Emma as her mother was carrying her. "Hey Emma. Want me to show you something?" She kept yelling and crying as I sighed to myself. "I'm gonna take that as yes."

With a quick snap, a small little unicorn hologram appeared in front of her as she stopped crying and stared at it. I twirled my hand around as the Unicorn twirled and jumped happily. I giggled and continued playing with her as Emma started calming down and smiling again.

"That's my sweet adorable, Emma!" I smiled. After a while of making her laugh and back to happiness, I felt arms around my waist tightly as I froze and let the unicorn move by itself. Looking behind me, there you can see- well you know who it is.

"Were you a mom when you were alive? A babysitter probably? Nanny?" He rested his head on my shoulder again.

"Please move and no. I don't remember anything about my life when I was still alive. No angel doesn't." I turned to look at him.

He moved away and smiled. "You know, I've heard. If an angel kisses a demon, the angel will remember everything about her life before she died. We should give it a try."

"No we shouldn't. I'd rather stay like this. With no memory. I would be breaking the rules if I did kiss you." That wouldn't be good. If you break the rules then they will send you to underworld.

"You do remember I'm a demon, right? I break the rules."

"Well I don't and you can't make me."

"If you say so, Partner." Partner?! I know we're gonna be working with the same baby, Emma, but that doesn't mean I have to be rude as him.

"Yes, Devil 7849370." I nodded and looked back at Emma but he grabbed my chin again and made me look at him again. "Yes? What do you need?"

"I never got your name, you know?"

"Angel 2738906." I gave a slight bow and giggled. "I'm really sorry for not presenting myself, Devil 7849370."

"Too long. I hate number names. Especially if they're long." He sighed and shook his head. "You look more like a... Karin." He smiled and nodded to himself. "Yea... Karin..." He muttered very quietly. "Your name is now Karin!" He pointed to me with a smile.

Karin? Karin? Karin is... perfect. It sounds... just... perfect. I've never had a name-name for a couple of 30 or 50 years. It makes me feel special that name.

I smiled at him and nodded. "I like it..." That's not right. "Wait... no... I love it!" I clasped my hands together and smiled widely. "Thank you so much Devil 78-" I felt his index finger on my lips and shushed me.

"I don't like that name. Give me a name."

"Um... a name?" He nodded as I thought.

Angel? Beto? Carlos? Daniel? Edward? Fil? George? Howard? Issac? Josh? Kai? Lucas? Mateo? Nicolas? Ociel? Pedro? Quartz? Raiden? Steven (Steven Universe!!! XD)? Te? Urse? Victor? Washington? Xyne? Yonathen? Zane?

Zane... Zane... That's actually a pretty amazing name. "Your name will now be Zane." I smiled and nodded as he smirked.

"I love it. Thank you, Karin."

I smiled and gave a slight bow to him. "No problem. Now should we start our work again?"
