-Whiskey's P.O.V.-

As I walk up to the automatic sliding doors, I call Adam to try to talk to him. I wait out the dial tone and hurry past people in the main lobby, in regular chairs and some in wheel chairs. I glance at their weary faces quickly before I push open a pair of glass doors and walk down a pink and blue hall towards the OB/GYN lobby. The phone send me to voice-mail, but I hang up. The automatic doors open for me and I glance around, and see worn down women who look like they're going to burst.

"Excuse me miss, do you have an appointment?" I turn around and a short lady in a lab coat is addressing me with a clipboard in her hand.

I nod,"Yea, my name's Whiskey Copper."

She peaks at her chart and nods,"Yup, here you are. Come with me and we'll take your vitals and put you in a room." I follow the nurse and answer all her questions and let her check my blood pressure and what not untill she finally leads me to a room.

"Ok, here's your room, doctor should be coming in a little bit, but you should roll your jeans down just enough for the ultra sound, can you do that?" she asks, not letting me answer her.

I walk and look at the room number,"Oh great. Just what I needed. 222."I close the door behind me and lay down on the bed, get ready for the ultra sound and pull out my phone.

I redial, but again I'm sent to voice mail,"Adam, it's Whiskey. I've been trying to call you but you won't answer. You're a real prick you know that?Sydney was already to go with you for the weekend but you didn't come, and instead Robert took her out for ice cream to cheer her up. That's three weeks in a row! Is your slut really more important than yo-"

"Whiskey, it's good to see you!" Dr. Aravind says as she walks in.

"I'll call you again later," I say on the phone and hang up,"Hi Dr. Aravind."

"How are you and the baby doing?" She asks me as she looks at my chart. I shrug,"the baby is fine, I'm a little frustrated."

"Ah, well mommy being frustrated is not good for the baby," Dr. Aravind says with a slight Indian accent. We go through the customary routine and everything is fine until she starts looking closely at my ultrasound.

"What, does the baby have an extra arm," I joke light-heartily.

She shakes her head, and turns to me with a somber look draped across her face,"Whiskey, I'm not a hundred percent sure, but it looks like your baby may have down syndrome."

A small gasp escapes my mouth as I process what she just said to me. Down Syndrome.Really? With everything going on right now, I have this to worry about too?!?

"Now Whiskey, it's not positive, ultrasounds are not the best for detecting Down Syndrome, but I do recommend for you to take some invasive test to see if the baby does have down syndrome."

I burst into tears and look up at her,"It doesn't really matter does it. I mean, I'm going to keep the baby either way... Does it really matter if I know now or later?"

A wave of pity washes her somber look away,"I'll let you decide, but for now, you have my number."

With that she walks out the door, leaving me to get fix myself up. I get a wet nap from my bag and clear my face of my makeup, I'd rather have no makeup at all, then deal with my mascara running down my my cheek. I look up into the corner of the mirror and spot the clock. Shit! It's almost 8, I have to go to dinner with Robert, Sydney and Spencer, I told them I wouldn't be late. Ok, I'm just, going to forget about it, just... I just have to convince myself it's normal to have a baby with Down Syndrome. I get my paper work from the nurse and briskly walk to my car. I turn on the car and drive to the restaurant. I'm ok. I'm ok. I'm ok.
