I left after Niall because I had to close up the gym. After I got back, I headed straight for the shower.
I came downstairs in my sweatpants and a t shirt. I didn't really care what I looked like right now. Niall has already seen me sobbing my eyes out with no makeup on already. This was probably the first time those kind of feelings ever came to me. I suddenly heard guitar playing.
"There's no need to complicate it. Dress it up or over state it. Without too much hesitation here's the way I feel. Well I like you. I like you. Even when I don't try to. Yes I do. Oh I like you." I turned around to face Niall in the living room with a smile on his face. He continued to play the guitar but not singing the words. I smiled. After I did. He did. I knew exactly what song he was singing.
"I like you. Ben Rector." I said taking a step and placing my hands of my now diagonal hips.
"AHA so you know Ben Rector." He said.
"Of course who doesn't." I took three steps closer. He placed his guitar on the couch and walked over to me.
"You know another song by him." He was about a foot distance away from me.
"What." I smirked during the word. He belted out the words to beautiful by Ben Rector. But instead he changed 16 to 20.
"I WAS 20 WITH AN OPEN HEART, WINDOWS DOWN AND A BEAT UP CAR! I WAS DUMB, THE WORLD WAS YOUNG! SHE WAS BEAUTIFUL!" That song literally brought tears to my eyes every time I heard it.
"Thank you Niall." I ran into his arms.
He held me tight. But not too tight. He was literally the most perfect human being to be around when you really needed a hug.
"Niall to be honest, I have never opened up to anyone like this quickly before." I said. Niall released the hug but still his arms were around my small body.
"Is it because of your father?" He asked. I nodded.
"And Peter." I said.
NIALL
She was just so fragile. If you touched her, she would break. She tucked her head back into my chest and I rested my chin on top of her head.
"Well, I'm not like either of them." I said. I could feel her smile. It warmed me. She was absolutely perfect. She backed away from the hug. Her wet hair and tears soaked my shirt. She wiped under her eyes.
"Autumn why are you crying." I took a step closer but she turned her body sideways. She sniffled and replied trying to put on a brave face.
"Oh haha no reason. Just ah bad memories." Autumn tried covering it up.
"You suck at lying, did you know that?" This time I got a truthful giggle out of her.
After Autumn calmed down, we settled down for dinner. She cooked as I cleaned up. That was our deal. She put a big plate of spaghetti and a salad plate on this side. I immediately dug into the meal.
"Very good Autumn."
"Why thank you Mr. Niall." She poked my ribs as she brought her plate over next to me and sat down. I looked at her and smiled while I was chewing. She really was something else.
I think she's realized that I'm not like the guys in her past. Ill treat her better. If she would just give me a chance.
"You know," I paused while I finished chewing,"the other guys really aren't bad."
"I've already told you this Niall." She slammed her fork down.
"I've already promised myself that once I started to live here, NO more boys." She declared.
