AUTUMN

I can feel it.

It is gone.

But it comes and goes.

One minute I'll feel like a million bucks, but then the next I'll feel the sickness creep it's way back into my body.

"You're awake." I heard a soft voice.

"How are you feeling." Niall stroked my cheek.

"Just peachy." I replied sarcastically yet weak.

He slightly laughed. His face was extremely puffy and I couldn't help but smile, because I had absolutely no energy to laugh.

"You're better." He kissed my hand.

"Really?" I raised my eyebrows.

"Yeah, yeah you are."

"Yay." I cheered with no enthusiasm what so ever.

This time he actually laughed. That laugh that I love. It kind of reminds me of a dolphin.

"When can we go home?" I asked.

"When you have the energy to."

I needed to sleep some more. I turned my back towards Niall and I felt him start to scratch my back. My eyes became heavy and I felt my body melt into the hospital bed.

I opened my eyes. I sat up yawning and stretching. I literally had so much more energy than before.

There he was, waiting for me to wake.

"Good morning." Niall came up right by my side.

"Hello." I yawned again.

"How long was I asleep?"

"About 10 hours." He answered.

"You waited here the whole time?" I asked.

"Well, I had to go to an interview but that only took 4 hours. You know, preparation, and then the real thing."

"So you sat here for 6 hours?"

"For you." He replied and kissed my forehead.

"I'm just so grateful you're here." He said. He buried his face in my hand and then kissed it.

"I'm gonna be covered with Niall if you don't stop kissing me."

"I will never stop." He placed his lips on mine.

Oh how much did I miss them. Being asleep for about 2 days really makes you miss some things. And Niall's kiss was the thing I missed the most.

He let go of my lips. But I was gasping for more. I've missed his touch, the way he brought passion into the kiss.

"Did I ever tell you that I love you?" He asked.

"I think once or twice." I smiled and he slightly laughed.

"Did you bring clothes for me?" I asked as we walked to a corner of the room.

"I sure did." He dropped the bag at the end of my bed and the doctor came in.

"Mr. Horan, here are your pills for Autumn to take. Do you remember?"

"Yes sir, two of each once a day."

"Very good,"the doctor turned to me,"Ah, Ms. Lewis you're awake. The forms for you to leave are on your side table for you to fill out and then give to the lady at the front desk. Got it?" He asked waiting for my answer.
