Niall and I finished up our dinner and he ran over to the at he drove. I noticed that it was a 2001 Lexus Sport Trac. Good because I love trucks. I heard a volume of a tune get louder and louder as our artist came on.
Ben Rector
Niall rushed back over to me as his large hands were placed on my tiny waist and my arms hung loosely around his neck. I rested my head in his chest embracing every step we took.
Our feet were moving slow to the dragging beat that blared throughout his car. Niall lightly grabbed my small hand and spun me gently. He had a smile plastered across his face. Well, so did I. I then continued with my arm placing and we started to move slowly again. Niall's lips pressed to the too my head leaving a gentle kiss. This was really it. My stomach was filled with butterflies. I had fallen for this boy so quickly that I can't catch myself. He's the only one that can.
My knees started to buckle as his strong arms laid on my waist. Niall caught me and I looked up at him as I stood back up.
"Are you alright there." Ode the embarrassment. My cheeks were flushed hot and Niall just slightly laughed.
"I'm fine." I regained my balance and Niall spun me once more before the song ended. We ended with a small dip and I was pulled back up by Niall's strong arms. We just stared into each other's eyes. Not awkwardly, but, it was something special. He slowly dipped his head; kind of asking for permission to kiss me.
I said 'yes' with my eyes as our gaze met each other's.
I soon felt his lips on mine and it was perfect. I didn't care what I was like around Niall. I didn't care where we were or what I looked like. As long as I was with him, I couldn't be happier. Our lips came apart an our fingers intertwined with each other's. A big smile laid across my face and I just couldn't wipe it off.
He led us back to his car and opened the door for me. I got in and buckled my seatbelt as he sat down on his side and started the car. I couldn't help but think that this night had brought back a bad memory and tears started forming in my eyes. Niall noticed, oh crap.
"Are you alright." He leaned over as I diverted my direction to my lap.
"Just fine." I said wiping the tear with my finger. He lightly grabbed my chin and stared directly into my eyes.
"No you're not." He said.
"What's wrong? And you have to tell me or else we're never going back." He made me smile just a little.
"It's just that. This night reminds me of my prom."
"Isn't prom fun though?"
"Well, yeah, but I went with Peter. That was the night her just threw me out on streets after he had been drinking and-" Niall pressed his lips against mine telling me to shut up.
"I am going to kill this Peter guy." Niall joked and I just couldn't help but to smile. I felt like someone actually cared about me.
"Autumn can I ask you something?" He asked looking down at his hands.
"Anything."
"Why are you always afraid?" I had no reply.
"Why?" He asked once more. I knew I wasn't getting out of this question without answering.
"I-I'm scarred Niall." I replied looking up with teary eyes.
"I'm scared you'll tell." I let go of my wrist.
He covered his mouth with his hand and took my fragile arm in his hand.
"Autumn, I don't understand."
