Skylar's POV -
Tonight, I had a feeling was going to be a pretty good night. The girls had all come round mine and we were all getting ready together for tonight.
I was actually looking forward to meeting Emma, from the way Max had talked about her and described the type of person she was, it seemed to me like I was going to get along with her and we were going to be friends by the end of the night.
But, when the others all turned up here, they didn't seem like they really wanted to be going on this night out and they didn't want to even get the chance to meet the poor girl - they had to give her chance, or they were never going to know what she was like, she might even surprise them all.
"What actually is her name? Isn't it something like Emily?" Grace asked me; she was really worried about Emma and how much of a threat she was to hers and Tom's relationship because, or so she tells us anyway, he never stop talking about her and he's always going on about how amazing she is.
"She's called Emma. But Max said that she prefers to be called Em." I replied.
"Yeah. Seev told me that she hates her name because of where it comes from, or something like that." Aubree added with a slight smile as she took a sip from her drink.
See, we were having a couple of drinks before we went out, just to make sure that no one was too nervous before we met this poor girl - she was probably even more nervous than we were because, although we had heard things about her from the boys, she had probably heard very little about us and she was being expected to meet us all at the same time.
"Does anyone else feel like she's trying to get in with the boys?" Shelby asked; she was the worst out of all of us for thinking that Emma was trying to break up one of relationships because of the amount Nathan talked about her and told her all these different things that Emma could do. I suppose it made her feel really insecure because Nathan was supposed to be her boyfriend, but he was talking about some other girl and making her sound amazing.
But I'm sure Nathan would never leave her because you could tell that he loved her and he was proud of her for everything she had done so far, so she had nothing to be worried about. And I'm sure Emma was never going to do something like that and it didn't even seem like she had a thing for any of the boys.
If she did, then Max would have told me because he tells me everything and I tell him everything, so there's not really anything I don't know about his work life to be honest.
"Tom does talk about her a lot more than I would like him to, but it's not like I can stop him either." Grace sighed.
"Yeah. Jay is the same, always going on about how amazing she is and everything. It just makes me think he feels he can so much better than me." Juliet added, looking slightly disheartened as she spoke, but I'm still certain they've got nothing to worry about and Emma isn't that type of person.
"Do either of you have a problem with Siva or Max talking about her all the time?" Shelby asked me and Aubree cautiously.
"Personally, I don't have a problem with it because I'm the one that asks Max about work and how she's getting on. I just feel like that, with everything Max has told me, she's not a threat to our relationship because she doesn't seem interested in any of them." I replied because I didn't have a problem with her. I didn't even know the poor girl, so it wouldn't be right for to judge her based on the other girls' opinions of her.
"I don't really understand why we're meeting her in the first place. I'm sure she is a lovely girl and everything, but it's not like we're ever going to see her again." Aubree said with a slight shrug as she readjusted herself into a more comfortable position on the sofa.
