Em's POV -
I decided that I didn't want to listen to the phone call for any longer than I had do, but it sure as hell helped make my mind up in the decision on whether I was going to leave or not; and it made my life so much easier.
I don't care if it meant they all won or not, but I wasn't going to stay working with The Wanted if it meant it was going to cause me this much trouble.
I decided that I was going to text Mary and Callie first, since they were my best friends and I told them everything. So they would be annoyed if I didn't tell them this as well, and they would complain that I never told them anything anymore.
To Mary, Callie;
I'm quitting my job when we get back from America. I can't do it anymore x
And I then had to tell my sister that I was going to let them all win and I wasn't going to be able to prove to all these people I wasn't the failure that they thought I was - I was just going to do what everyone knew I was going to do, give up as soon as it got difficult and stop even bothering to try from now on, it all just seemed pointless.
I went downstairs where Dara was sitting in the living room, tapping away on her phone.
Knowing her, she was probably texting her boyfriend and they were arranging when they were next going to meet up with each other. Or something like that anyway.
"Have you decided what you're going to do then?" Dara asked me as I stood in the doorway and looked at her.
"Yeah. I'm going to tell the boys that I want out when we get back from America, and then I'm going to tell the girls that I'm leaving as well." I replied, causing her to look up from her phone and give me the look that I had seen to many times before in the past.
"So you're just going to let them all win then?" she questioned me with her eyebrow raised slightly.
"Yeah, I believe that's what I'm telling you." I stated sarcastically, turning my back on her and going to walk out of the room.
"Then you're never going to prove anyone wrong. Good luck being the failure of the family once again."
"Whatever Dara, it's nothing I'm not used to now." I sighed, heading out of the house and closing the door behind me, feeling my phone vibrating in my pocket as I walked over to my car and found myself just sitting in the driver's seat, the key in the ignition and my phone in my hand as I braved the text message I had just received from Callie.
From Callie;
You can't give up, not after everything you've been through. If you quit, then I will not be very impressed xx
To Callie;
I don't see the point in working somewhere that I'm hated, I just don't want to do it anymore. I'm sorry Cal xx
I decided that I was going to drop Max a quick text and I was going to tell him to make sure everyone was at the office where Kevin held all his meetings; then I could tell them altogether what I was planning on doing because I didn't want to have to do it five separate times.
To George;
Hey Max. Please make sure you and the other four are at the office in twenty minutes, I need to talk to you all x
Once I sent the message, I threw my phone onto the passenger's seat and began my drive to the office.
This was something I had decided by myself and I wasn't going to have my mind changed; no matter how much they wanted me to stay.
