The Next Day;
Em's POV -
I had invited Callie round to tell her everything, and I was going to get her advice on what the best thing to do was because I was totally clueless - I'd invited Mary round as well, but she had already told me that she was being forced to work the double shift at work today because someone was off ill, or something like that anyway.
Sure, Tom was attractive, and he never failed to make me smile, and he had one of the best personalities going, but he was in a relationship and I didn't like him as anything other than a friend; but I couldn't just dismiss what he told me yesterday.
It's not everyday someone tells you that they have feelings for you and that they have fallen for you.
"Em?" Dara shouted up the stairs at me. I'd been hiding in my room since I got in from work last night, and I got barely any sleep because Tom's words were still playing on my mind and I found it impossible to get them out of my thoughts.
"Yeah?" I replied.
"Are you going to come down here at some point?" she questioned me with the element of worry in her voice.
"Erm, maybe. I haven't really thought about it." I said back to her, opening my door slightly so I didn't have to shout as loud as I was.
"You need something to eat. You haven't eaten since yesterday morning." Dara said, and I could tell that she was worried about me, but with everything going around my head right now food was the last thing on my mind.
"I'll be fine. I'll get something to eat later."
"Em, you can talk to me, you don't have to hide in your room all the time. I'm your sister and I'm here for you." I heard her say with a sigh before I heard the living room door being pushed too behind her, I assumed that she must have been watching something on the TV before she came out to check on me.
To Callie, Mary;
Do you want to spend the night at mine? Got a lot to talk about? X
I text them both because, I know I had agreed to go on a "date" with Tom but I wasn't going to be out all night and I was going to need someone to talk to when I got back.
I was going to need to tell them everything and see what they thought about this whole thing because they knew me better than anyone, and they knew that I wouldn't deliberately destroy someone else's relationship for my own gain; which is why I wasn't going to do that and I was going to show Tom that he loved Grace, not me.
From Callie;
Sure. I'll be wanting to know all the gossip from your date with Parker!! X
To Callie;
It's not a date, and I'll be sure to tell you everything. Just waiting to find out if Mary wants to stay now. X
It might have been my sister's place, but I was always inviting my two bestfriend's round here to stay and she never seemed to mind.
She was the type of sister that understood I needed my friends and, without Callie and Mary, I would probably going completely insane.
From Mary;
I'd love to stay. I'll be over after I've finished work though, that alright? X
To Mary;
Yeah babe, that's fine with me. Callie will already be here anyway! X
