Em's POV -

"Thank you for tonight. It was amazing Tom." I smiled as we pulled up outside my sister's place.

"It was nothing, it just wanted to make it special for you. I'll see you tomorrow then, yeah?" Tom asked.

"I suppose you will see me tomorrow; I haven't quit on you yet." I chuckled, getting out of the car and waving at Tom as he drove away.

I walked into the house with the biggest grin ever on my face because that's honestly how tonight had made me feel.

It made me feel happy, and I felt like I was worth something; but I knew all this was wrong because he was still with Grace and she was going to flip out at me big time when she found out about Tom taking me out for the evening.

I headed straight upstairs, for my bedroom, as I knew that both Callie and Mary were already going to be there; probably going through all my things and seeing what they could steal this time around, only for me to take back the next time I went round to their place to see them.

"Soooooooooooo..." Callie laughed, seeing the massive grin on my face as I practically face-planted the bed with happiness.

"I'm guessing from the size of that grin, it went well?" Mary chuckled.

"It went better than that, it was amazing. I told him everything he wanted to know, and he was so sweet about it all, and he is just the most genuine guy I've ever spent time with. He kept hugging me and putting his hand in mine, and, I, it was, I've never been happier." I stated, and I could feel my cheeks getting hotter as I told them what happened; and they were laughing at me as soon as they noticed which just made it even worse.

In the end, I averted my gaze and went back to lying down on my bed.

Looking at the ceiling and grinning like a complete idiot.

"Emma and Tom, sitting in a tree, k-i-s-s-i-n-g, first comes love, then comes marriage, then comes baby in a golden carriage." Callie began jeering, causing both her and Mary to erupt into an unstoppable laughter.

"Are you still going to say this wasn't a date then?" Mary managed to ask.

"Yeah. It definitely wasn't a date." I muttered.

"It so was." Mary smirked at me.

"You can keep telling yourself it wasn't a date all you like, but it was a date." Callie shrugged, like it was so matter of fact and that she was telling the truth; apparently it was like she could tell everything from how a person acted - or so she liked to think anyway.

"Whatever. I'm not even going to argue." I sighed, my mood was slowly going down and I was beginning to feel like this whole evening was a waste of time; now they were twisting everything that had happened.

Yes. I enjoyed myself.

Yes. I did have an amazing time with Tom.

But no. It wasn't a bloody date, we just went out with each other for the evening to get to know each other better.

"Oh, c'mon Em, we're only messing around. We didn't mean to upset you." Callie said, as I felt the bed beside me dip down and when I looked up, Callie was sitting there with a sorry look on her face.

"Look, it's fine, don't worry about it. I'm just being an idiot." I sighed, sitting up and looking between the pair of them with a faint smile on my face.

"What are you going to do tomorrow then? Are you going to speak to Tom, or just pretend like nothing happened tonight?" Mary asked.

"I'll just be like I am any other day, otherwise people will ask questions. I've got nothing to hide and neither has he, so I've got no reason to act differently with him." I smiled.
