I found myself lingering inside of the diner the next day, a half eaten salad and a napkin covered in cucumbers accompanying me. This time I sat facing the door, my eyes inspecting most of the people who entered the quaint little establishment. As my eyes flickered about the diner I hadn't realized that I was looking for one person in particular until he sauntered through the door. Not wanting to be spotted I focused my attention on the salad in front of me.

To keep busy I pushed the drippings lettuce around my plate. My teeth found a homey spot along the corner of my lower lip. I prayed that I'm not to obvious in my attempts to not be seen. A few minutes passed before I raised my gaze. This proved to be a bad idea when I spied a grinning raven haired boy sitting across from me. His baby blue eyes sparkled with mischief filled with mirth.

"Such a pleasant surprise to see you again princess." He dropped his feet to the floor, crossing his arms on the table. As I let a scoff his gaze shifted to the cucumbers. "Are those for me?" His grin widened, reaching for the bare corner of the napkin to pull it towards him.

"They weren't for you yesterday." I shifted in my seat, debating on if I should take them back, as he smirked at me with his eyes while he sucked on the circular fruit.

Slowly he pulled the cucumber from between his lips. "Why do I get the feeling you were trying to summon me?" His voice was laced with admirable humor.

"I was just having lunch." To further prove my point I had the smart idea to spear a few pieces of limp lettuce onto my fork and shove it into my mouth. The ranch dribbled down the side of my mouth and onto my chin embarrassingly.

I quickly reached for a napkin only to be stopped in my pursuit. The only napkin available was the one that currently hosted his cucumbers.

"You got a little..." Trailing off raven hair swipes a fresh cucumber slice along the path of ranch until it was gone. He then proceeded to eat the make shift napkin.

"Gross." I scrunched my nose, and wiped my chin with my hand, despite wanting to laugh at the giddy expression of youth on his face.

"Saves you from having to ask for a napkin." He picked up another slice.

A moment of silenced passed between us. In this moment I watched him eat the remaining cucumbers. He treated each one the same, sucking on it before finishing it with exactly three bites. During this time he was more focused on the cucumbers, giving me free rein to examine him, to take in his features. If I actually felt like it I would go into detail on the exact placements of his piercings, how his hair was cropped short and the color of his shirt, but I'm lazy. When he was finished the corner of his mouth quirked upwards.

"Back to staring at me I see." Raven hair glances at me from the corner of his eyes. My lips fell into a from. While I know his name now I had referred to him as raven hair in my mind at the time and I had yet to learn his name. Seeming I'm the one telling the story, or writing the entry, it will be as closely accurate as I can get. Until we reach the part where I find out his name he will be addressed as Raven hair.

I didn't reply, instead I reached inside my purse for my wallet. I could feel his eyes watching me as I set the amount due on the table. Just as I was sliding out of the booth he spoke, effectively stopping me.

"Don't you want to know my name?" He inquired, arching his brow. This caught my attention, and he obviously knew it would by the way his lips slipped into a smirk as I sunk back into the booth.

"What makes you think I want to know your name?" I raised my brow in a challenging manor. He couldn't know how erratically my heart was beating at the thought of knowing his name. In my mind that would take us from strangers to acquaintances, and possibly even friends.
