I never knew how far the lake stretched until that night. While we weren't that far from my house we were a good distance away so that I wouldn't risk getting caught. Raven hair had removed his boots and socks the moment we arrived, rolling up his pants as high as they could go before sitting on the edge of the dock and placing his feet in. Thankfully for me all I had to do was remove my sandals, which led him to comment on my polished red toes─which he called cute. Sitting down next to him I cautiously dipped my feet into the water, shivering at the sudden shock that ran up my legs at the change in temperature.
The sounds of the water lapping up against the side of the plastic dock, mixed with the crickets chirping away happily in hopes to find a mate, was quite soothing. I had felt bad for 'Yeltin' because I was still wearing his jacket and the wind seemed to accumulate a lot down there.
"If you want I can quickly go home and grab a jacket for myself and return yours to you." I began to pull my feet out of the water, prepared to stand up. Raven hair quickly gripped me by the arms and tugged me back down.
"No, it's fine. The cold doesn't bother me anyway." At the time I hadn't caught the frozen references, mainly because I was probably the only person in the world to have not seen the movie. When raven hair found out this information he was quick to prepare a movie night, which we will possibly get to later.
"Are you sure my house isn't that far from here." Upon the words leaving my mouth I cringed. My words peaked and interest in him as he arched his pierced brow.
"Oh really? Now tell me princess where is that?" Curious he leaned forward. Feeling slightly uncomfortable I pushed him away.
"You're supposed to tell me something about you, not the other way around." I reminded him, brushing my hair away from my face.
He lets out a soft chortle. "Trying to leave me already are we? Afraid that daddy might wake up and notice that you're missing?" There was a teasing look in his eyes as his eyebrows danced skilfully against his forehead.
"Yes actually." I state truthfully, putting a stop to his dancing eyebrows.
"Well then, can't risk you getting in trouble now can we." He cleared his throat and leaned back on the dock, using his hands to keep him upright. His legs kicked back and forth within the water.
He let the seconds tick by in silence. I became impatient when he didn't say anything, instead he basked in the rays of the moonlight. His eyes had fallen closed sometime in the silence and his arms left from beneath, allowing his body to lay against the dock.
"Lay with me princess." He brushed his hand against the surface of the dock near him. "It feels amazing."
"But you're─"
"Just lay down." He huffed, a frown on his lips as he tucked his arms behind his head. With a reluctant sigh I slowly lowered myself backwards to lay down. "Close your eyes and just let the dock carry you."
"Why do I─"
"Close them." Raven hair bit sharply, splashing my legs with water.
"Fine, fine." I sighed again, closing my eyes. Soon I was encased in darkness.
Everything seemed to become louder. The cooing of the owls, the chirping of the crickets, the splash of water as something jumped into it. Even the soft groaning of the dock became louder as it swayed beneath us.
"I almost died you know." His words were sudden, yet calm just like the air around us.
"When?"
