hi! Hello!! I've noticed that a lot of people get confused as the story transitions between part one and part two. So I'm here to clear up a bit of that confusion/ also so i don't have to keep repeating myself. (Better late than never)
As part one transitions into part two, think of part one as one super long prologue before the actual story begins. I know Charlotte says that nothing actually exists but she only says so, for her teacher wouldn't suspect so. (she explicitly says multiple times that she was writing for a class project).
However to clear up any confusion and to save myself from replying back to comments like "but she said none of it was real??" and "I'm lost" and "so did it happen or no?" Just think of part one as a drawn out prologue written out by Charlotte.
