The door of my locker slams shut, obstructing my view of my reflection. A familiar fair skinned hand, with an even more familiar ring, lingers against the grey surface as a warm presence stands behind my frightened body.
"Guess who?" Darkness clouds my vision as the persons free hands drapes over my eyes. His breath tickles the tip of my ear as he leans in and whispers gently. Tingles shimmy down my spine as my heart gallops in my chest.
Pulling his hand from my face I turn around, attempting to play it cool as I look up at a smirking Taylor.
"What are you doing here?" I arch my brow, biting down gently on my lip.
My stomach twist as he takes a step closer, his scent taking over my senses. I fall against my locker, skin crawling deliciously under his stare.
"I've come to whisk you away for a romantic lunch." Slowly he drags his tongue along his bottom lip.
My lips twitch up into a smile until I remember the promise I made to Brooke
"I can't." Guilt settles in my stomach as his smirk falls off his lips.
"Why's that?" He takes a step away from me, a frown tilting his lips downward. With an erratic heart i reach out for him and pull him back towards me. My fingers curl tightly around his jacket as he stands a hairs width away from me.
I tilt my head up a bit to get a better look at him. "I can't because i had promised Brooke we'd go look at this house, despite not being able to afford it even if we did split it three ways." As my confession leaves my lips a more understanding look passes over Taylor's face before being consumed by a small hint of anger.
"You're going to look at places without me?" He inquiries and I slowly nod my head.
"We just figured you'd be swamped with homework and work. I was going to take lots of pictures to show you tonight." In attempts to work some of my girlfriend magic I slink my arms around his neck, locking my fingers and brushing my thumbs through the hairs at the nape.
He seems to physically relax within seconds and I smile. "If you want to come, seeming you aren't busy, you can."
Taylor shakes his head. "No, i'll pass this once. Brooklyn's been chewing my ear off because I've been occupying your time lately." Slipping his arms around my waist, Taylor pulls me off of locker and flush against him. My heart leaps in my chest.
I nod my head, my lips parting slightly as he dips his head down to kiss me. His breath just barely tickles my anticipating flesh before he comes to a halt at the sound of a throat clearing.
Already knowing who it is I turn my head to give her a pleading look. "Just one kiss!"
A displeased Brooklyn stands her ground as she taps her foot with arms folded. "We're already late."
"But—"
"No!"
"He's—"
"No!"
"We're—!"
"Charlotte!" Fed up she comes and forces her way between us, breaking us apart. My heart falls into the pit of my stomach at the unwanted distance and I pout. "Gosh, when I said i wanted you two to be together i didn't mean every second of every day!" She huffs out of breath, having had trouble prying us apart. "I have needs too you know! I'm a growing woman who needs her best friend who promised to share a house with her!"
