Damian was sitting with his father in the car on the way to their annual fishing trip. His father had been trying to start up a conversation with him since they had left three hours ago. But Damian would only answer with a few words quite distracted. Damian had been thinking about his relationship with Demetria this entire time. David had decided to give up after trying to get Damian to talk to talk to him after the 84th attempt.

David could see that his son was having some sort of problem. He'd been dwelling on it the last few days. David knew that Damian would ask for help or advice when be was ready. He turned on the radio so that there wouldn't be an awkward silence for the next two hours even if Damian didn't notice it.

David could say he wasn't worried about Damian but that would be a lie. He had never seen the boy like this ever. It was very unsettling. The man could only guess what was going on with his son. He thought maybe it was depression, but there were no signs that his son was unhappy. Maybe it was a girl? Yeah that was probably it. There was always that time in a man's life where he pined over the love of his life. if he didn't, well that's because he hadn't found her.

Two and a half hours later the two were on the lake and Damian was still distracted. David didn't know how much more of this silence he could take when Damian finally said something. "Dad, why is it so hard to tell a girl that you love her?"

His father looked up at him from putting the bait on the fish hook. That's right, he liked to do it old school. "Is something wrong with you and Demetria?" Even though David hadn't actually met Demi yet, he knew that she was a nice girl from what Damian had told him. Hell, she was way better than the girls Damian had dated before and she treated him way better than they did.

"Well I find it's always best to do it in the most romantic way possible to her like having things like her favourite flower, favourite colour, food she likes that. And it is also most important to tell her at the right moment. You may not know when that time is supposed to be. But when it comes you will know in that instant. You understand?"

"Yeah I guess."

"Good now stop dwelling on the mushy stuff and come help me fish," David laughed. Damian gave him a smile and decided to concentrating on fishing for the rest of their trip. Thinking about Demi would stress him out to the point where he'd probably have to get hospitalized.

"Shit!" Nicki was glad that she was sitting already 'cause Lord knows what would have happened if she was standing. How could she have been so stupid? She had told herself that she would do this in this future, just a little later. True the woman didn't completely have her wits about her but still there was enough brain in there to say no.

Nicki was glad that Demetria was with her friends at the mall right now. The woman knew that if the girl was there, she would be able to get the truth out of Nicki easily. But since she wouldn't be home for a few hours Nicki had time to compose herself and keep the secret for as long as she could. Sadly, she would have to tell her mother right away.

She grabbed her cell off the couch and called her mother's house. She hoped that Micaiah wouldn't answer the phone first, she didn't want him to hear her pain filled voice 'cause like Demi he would use his magical powers to figure out what was wrong with her. And write now she only wanted her mother to know about the situation.

"Hello?"

"Momma?" Nicki was barely holding back the tears that she knew would overflow soon. She just didn't want to do it while her mother was on the phone. Nicki wanted the woman to think that this situation didn't scare her even though it did. She wanted her mother to believe that she was strong.
