Battle of the Bands

chapter 3

Shoni's pov 

I get home and walk threw the door and I realize how bored I am. I drop my things in the kitchen grab a snack and head back out side I remember why I had walked home but decide the car can wait. I walk right past it and down the street. I walk for about an hour and a half and I come to a barn it is like the big stables at home but bigger and nicer.

We never had a barn that nice we just had an old red barn that always looked like it needed a cote of pain but never got it, because dad said that the chipped paint gave it  seance of character and I have to say he was right. It did have a seance of character but so did this big stable. Personally I like the old barns littering the country side back home to some of the big up title places here. 

I am ripped from my thoughts by someone yelling. I realize I have walked right in to the stable yard and a getting yelled at that it is privet property and that I should get  put. Then I see a young boy not much older than me waking my way. "Hey" he says. 

He is so cute and he is talking to me "Hey" I try to act normal. 

"What are you doing here?" He asks. 

Good question what am I doing here? "I was walking by and saw the horses and was kind of drawn to them," well I wasn't lying. The look on his face was firm but still in a way soft. "Get her out of here" I here some one yell. 

" In a minute" the boy yells back. " I'm Logan by the way" he says lifting his hand for me to shake. 

"I'm Shoni," I say as I shake his hand. 

"Have you ever rode horses?" 

"Ya I have ridden as long as I can remember but haven't done much of it lately" 

"Well do you want a job?" He asks me kind of abruptly. He asked me if I wanted a job, well I will need the money to fix my car but I don't know I can let the girls down on their band idea. 

"Sure but I can only work part time" 

"Okay great when do you think you can start?" 

"I don't know when ever." 

"How about right now?" He just hired me and he wants me to start right now?

"Sure" is all I can say. 

"Hurry up and get rid of her" I here again from one of the men, who are now staring at us. 

 "Shut up I just hired her" I here Logan shout back. "I'll show you around follow me.

Once Logan has shows me around and we finish chores he gives me a ride home. 

When we pull into my drive he sees my car and I think he almost dies. "You have a 1969 two door dodge charger?" he asks in astoundment. 

"Yah pretty sweet right" it nice to know someone that is into cars, and horses.  

"Yah. Why were you walking when you have this bad boy sitting in your driveway?"

"The starter when in it this morning i haven't bothered to look for a new one or try to fix."

"Oh I see" he says, I never realised how thick  his accent was until now I love it. 

"When do you want me at the barns again?"

"Well I will have to talk to the boss but probably in a few days. Give me your phone."

"Okay give me your phone"

We traid phones and type in our numbers, then give each other our phones back. "See you then?" He asks and he gets back into his car.

"Yah see you." I confirm. 

I walk in the house and flop down on the couch, I look at my phone I have a million texts from tia and Shy they even asked if someone had killed me. They are so dematic.

what the hell why didn't you answer me? you had me worried sick.

Tia(;

me too

chill out i'm fine

Tia(;

where were you?

out chill we can talk about this later. btw i got a job. 

Tia(;/Shy(:

what? where? why?

$Me$ 

yah i got a job, at the barns, because i need cash.  

$Me$ 

gtg ttyl so hungry

Tia(;

do you need a ride tomorrow?

$Me$

yah that would be great thanx later

I pout my phone down and go to look for some food I look in the fridge and there is almost nothing so I decided to have and apple and order pizza. Note to self get some food. 

I then grab my guitar and mess around trying to figure out some songs we might be able to do as a band, but when the pizza comes I realize how hungry I am, I eat the pizza and then go to bed.
