-Coreen-

I stepped out of my room and went to Zac. I looked down at his crib and watched him sleep peacefully. I gently caressed his face with my fingers. He smiled. I didn't know how long I was watching him sleep, I didn't care anyways. Zac is getting weak, ever since Zoe was taken from us, everything seemed different with him.

"Coreen" Luke stood in the doorway, his hair slightly messy. He walked towards me and hugged me from behind, his arms around my waist.

"Zac's getting weaker" I say.

"Don't worry, They're doing everything they can to make sure his condition gets better" He replied, leaning his chin on my shoulder.

"But it's been weeks" I say.

"Give them some time" He replied. I turn to face him. He removed his chin from my shoulder but his arms remained wrapped around my waist.

"Are you not worried at all?" I asked.

"What? Of course I'm worried!" He replied sounding offended with what I said, "Why would you say that?"

"Because you're taking all of this so easily! It's like you don't even care!" I removed his arms around me and stormed out of the room.

"I'm the Alpha of this pack! I'm also a father, I can't let anyone see me weak" He trailed behind me, "I have to be strong for us! What do you want me to do, sulk around all day like you?" I turn around and slapped him.

"I lost my daughter in front of my own eyes, what do you want me to do? Act like there's nothing wrong? I can't do that Luke, I'm not that strong. I keep telling myself to be strong, be brave--" A tear slipped my eye and quickly wiped it away, "But I can't. I don't know if I can hold hold on much longer"

"Look" He cupped my face with his hands, "You're letting him get to us. You are strong, you are brave, we'll get through this okay" He wrapped his arms around me, "I'm sorry for what I said, I shouldn't have said that"

"I overreacted, I'm sorry to" I replied.

"C'mon, let's go to bed" He says.

"You go, I'm not tired anymore" I replied.

"Then come cuddle with me" He gently pulls me towards our room.

"Ugh, fine"
