C h a p t e r 22

I slowly opened my eyes. I got up and checked my surroundings, it was beautiful, like a paradise. There were flowers everywhere, but it was quiet.

Weird.

All I remember was was passing out with Zoe--Wait? Zoe! Where is she? I looked around and saw no one. I pinched myself and felt... Nothing. What is going on? Why can't I feel anything? Where am I?

"You must be Zachary" An angel appeared in front of me. I knew from the way she stood and spoke. She shows no emotion on her face.

"Yes, that's me, Where am I?" I asked, "And my sister?"

"You are in heaven Zachary" She states, "Your sister, she might be somewhere around here. I saw her wandering around a couple of minutes ago"

"She just left me here?" I asked shocked, "A--and I'm in Heaven?" I chocked.

"No, actually, she wanted to search for help" She replied, "And yes, this is heaven"

"I can't--We can't die yet!" I say referring to me and my sister, "Our parents needs us down there" It felt weird saying that.

"I'm sorry, but your time on earth is up, there is nothing I can do" She says.

"Please, I'm begging you" I pleaded.

"I'm sorry" And with that she was gone. I started to wander around the place and look for Zoe. Where could she be? This place looks like it doesn't have a dead end. No lakes or rivers, no mountain ranges; it just filled with flowers. 

"Zoe!" I shout her name, "Where are you?"

"Zac!" I followed to where the sound was coming.

"Zoe!" I call again.

"Zac!" I found her standing near a tree. I sighed in relief as I approached her.

"Where are we?"She asked.

"We're dead, Zoe, we're in heaven" I say with a frown.\

"Heaven" She says, looking around, " I could get used to this"

"What?" I asked as picks flowers from the ground, "We have to go back"

"What for?" She turn her head to me, "Look at this place, this is paradise, why would you want to give this up?"

"Because our parents are down there!" I stated.

"You heard what that angel with the coat said, they're fight with him can change the lands on the planet. We're safer here" She got up, holding a flower in her hand.

"I need to go back down there! I can't--I can't just do nothing here!"

-Third person-

Castiel stood up, groaning in pain. He took out his angel blade and looked at the archangel and Damien fighting. He looked at the twins and a horrified look came on his face. They were frozen. He ran to the twins and knelt down.

"Zachary" He placed his hand on the young man's head. Through the years he has spent with the Hemmings, he had become close to them. He felt terrible knowing that he broke a promise he made. That he would keep them alive, and safe, but he failed. And he felt terrible.

"I'm so sorry, Luke" Castiel says.

He got up and called his brother, "Gabriel" He threw the blade to him and Gabriel swiftly caught it, and stabbed Damien. Damien pushed Gabriel away from him and pulled the blade out, dropping it on the floor.

"This isn't over!" Damien said through gritted teeth before disappearing.

"The twins?" Gabriel asked, slowly approaching his brother. Castiel shook his head and picked up the two and went back to the Hemmings' house with Gabriel following him.

"Is there a chance for them to be alive, Gabriel?" Castiel asked as he gently placed them down on Zac's bed.

"You don't have to worry about anything, we can revive them once they have... Defrosted?"
