Chapter 5- Plans

Joey's POV

Shane: I know you do...

I said this without any hesitation.

Joey: Shane, I love you.

Shane: Joey. I-

I push back then lean back in to kiss him. His hands are on my chest trying to lightly push me away. But I won't let him. This is what I want and I will get it.

My hands slowly slide down his legs as my tongue tries to slip into his mouth. I finally manage to get in. This is prefect. At least for me. Shane starts kissing back. But I pull back. I watch his face.

Shane: I-I, leave Joey...

He pushes me out. And I swear I hear one last thing before I walk away.

Shane: I-I love you too Joey.

I smile and run off to Chad. I couldn't be happier.

Shane's POV

I sigh and lay down on my bed. The I remember Lisa gave me something in my pocket. I pull it out and read we it.

Shane: Lisa you're a genius.

I smile and hide away the paper. I lay down on my bed. I will need to talk to Chad in the morning. I know how to win the Games again.

Joey's POV

Joey: So what do we do now?

Chad: Play up the romance. Everywhere. Even in private. It helps you a lot more than you think.

Joey: But we both don't have very many skills to help us in an arena with experienced Tributes.

Chad: You don't need to kill. You need to survive. Just find each other and survive. Make some allies too. The more you can make the easier this will be.

Joey: But they probably hate us. We didn't die.

Chad: Find the weaker ones. Or anyone that's willing to team. Remember that everyone there already won so they have to be strong or skillful.

Joey: I'm just so worried.

Chad: Get some rest. We'll talk more in the morning.

Joey: Ok.

I get up and walk to my room. I lay down in the bed but I'm restless. I close my eyes and try to sleep. After 15 minutes I get up and walk to the back of the train. I stand outside held back by a railing. I feel the cool air on my skin and close my eyes.

Shane: Hey.

I jump and turn around. It was only Shane. I smiled and hugged him.

Joey: Hey.

Shane: Couldn't sleep?

Joey: Yeah.

Shane: This is just so insane. We're going back into the Games. We just got out.

Joey: I know. This sucks.

I turn away and watch the sky. The moon is full and you can see tons of stars. Shane stands beside me and looks up too.

Shane: Let's not lose each other again. Meet up before we run off so we'll be together.

Joey: Are you not-

Shane: Yes. I found some hope.

Joey: Good, because I'd hate to lose you so quickly.

Shane: Me too.

We stand I silence for a bit until I start to shiver. I look back over at Shane.

Joey: I'm going back inside.

Shane: Ok. Goodnight.

I turn and walk back inside. But before I do he spins me around and kisses me. Then let's me go.

Shane: I love you too.

He runs past me and back to his room. I smile and return to my room too. I fall onto the bed and into a peaceful sleep.

*Next Morning*

Shane's POV

I walk out of my room and see Chad walking up to me.

Chad: You're up already?

Shane: I need to talk to you alone.

Chad: Ok. Follow me.

We go to his room where we can talk in private. I sit down in a chair and he sits across from me.

Shane: I got the plan from Lisa.

Chad: So you're willing to take the risks?

Shane: Yes. You need to contact them.

Chad: Who?

Two words.

Joey's POV

Sam: Joey! Get up! Now!

It's Sam. I must've sleep late if Sam was yelling at me to get up. So I walk to the door and make sure she knows I'm up. Then I take a quick shower and get dressed. I sit down at the dining table with Sam. She looks upset.

Joey: Where are Chad and Shane?

Sam: They are off somewhere on the train!

I stay quiet. They must be messing up Sam's schedule. She likes everything to go according to it. I look down at my food and eat.

Shane's POV

Chad: Shane. This is too risky.

Shane: I'm going through with it.

Chad: You could die.

Shane: I'm risking it.

Chad: You could hurt your family.

I look down and tear up. Like they would care what I did. I look back up at Chad.

Shane: They aren't my family anymore.

Chad: This plan has too many holes Shane.

Shane: I'm not going through that hell again. I'm doing the plan.

Chad: What about Joey?

Shane: Don't tell him about this. And he's first. Him, then me.

Chad: Are you sur-

Shane: Yes. That's the plan. I'm sticking to it.

Chad: Then I'll contact them and Lisa. We'll go through with the plan. Just remember to find Joey as soon as you can.

Shane: Already got that covered.

Chad: Good. Let's go eat.

I nod and following him to the dining cart. I hope the plan works
