Shane's POV

Phil: Get up. Let's get moving.

I groan and roll over bumping my head.

Shane: AH!

Phil: Oh no!

I sit up and feel dizzy. Now I can see the blood pouring from my head. I fall down and try to breath.

Phil: What do I do?!

Shane: Don't panic.

Phil: You're bleeding everywhere! I'm no doctor but I think this might be the end for you!

Shane: I know. Don't freak. Just tell Joey.

Phil: I will. I promise you.

Shane: Thanks Phil.

X: Phil!

Joey's POV

We get up pretty early and climb down the tree. After a quick meal we pack up and start to follow the trail.

Dan: Shouldn't this person be dead by now?

Joey: I know. That's a lot of blood. I wonder who got hurt.

Dan: Maybe one of those Tributes no one really knows.

Joey: Whatever. Let's keep going.

We follow the trail until we find a big puddle of blood and someone talking.

Dan: Phil!

I look up. There's Phil. They run into each others arms crying.

Dan: Oh thanks so much Joey!

Phil: Joey?

Joey: That's me.

He pushes back Dan and grabs my hand. He brings me to a bloody person lying on the floor. I gasp and fall to my knees in tears.

Joey: Shane! No! You can't die!

Shane: I'm still here.

Joey: Oh Shane!

I hug his chest then pull back and look at his head. I shakily raise a hand and cup his cheek.

Joey: You'll be ok right?

Shane: Joey. You know that I'm not gonna make it.

Joey: Who did this to you?!

I was furious. I will kill the one that dared to touch Shane!

Shane: Jerome.

Joey: That little!

Shane: Calm down.

Joey: I don't want to lose you.

Shane: It will be ok.

Joey: No!

I lean down and hug him. He pushes me and lifts his head. He slams our lips together. I gently lay his head back down then break the kiss.

Joey: We have to try something. I mean what do we have to lose?

Phil: That's what I told him!

Joey: Is there any kind if medicine that we can make?

Shane: Well. Not really. I would need a first aid kit to clean the wound. Then a needle and thread to sew it up. And some food because I'm starving.

Joey: Please Chad! Shane saved me last time! Let me save him this time!

I cry on his chest again.

Joey: I can't lose you yet. Not now. I don't know what I would do.

Shane: I love you Joey...
