Chapter 11- Interview

Shane's POV

I woke up next to Joey. I smiled. I feel so happy around him. I kiss his lips until I feel him move.

Joey: What a lovely way to wake up.

Shane: I know. You ready?

Joey: For?

Shane: The interviews. And today's our last day here in the Capital.

Joey: I don't wanna go!

Shane: I know. Don't worry babe. We'll be together and I won't leave your sight.

Joey: Thanks.

Chad: Boys! Get up!

We quickly get dressed and sit down for breakfast. Sam seems a bit annoyed at me. I just ignore her.

We sit down on the couch and watch for our scores. I swear mine will be the worst.

X: Joey Graceffa. A nine.

Sam: Congrats!

Chad: Good job.

X: And finally Shane Dawson. Ooh. A two.

Shane: I knew it.

Sam: Maybe if you behaved yourself for once-

Shane: Shut up!

Joey's POV

He storms out of the room. I decide to stay quiet. I feel horrible.

A two?

There goes any chance for an alliance for both of us. I sigh and sit back. We have a few more hours before the interviews. I get up and walk to my room. And there is Shane sitting on my bed.

Joey: Oh. Did you want-

Shane: Come here please...

He sounds so sad. He's tearing up to. I run over to him and hold him my arms. He starts to cry. I know how stressful this can be.

Joey: Calm down. We have the interviews later.

Shane: I don't give a shit!

Joey: Calm down. After dinner just let everything out ok?

Shane: Fine.

I pull back and smile at him. I wait for him to smile back. When he does I reward him with a kiss.

Shane: I must've ruined our chances of get any allies.

Joey: I can persuade some people. We won't have to worry. I have a feeling Mitch and Jerome want me still.

Shane: Good.

Shane's POV

I'm back on this stage. I'm nervous and sweating. I hate this. Suddenly someone's hand is on my shoulder. I whip my head backwards to see who it is.

Joey: You're shaking. Just relax. Everything will workout.

I nod. He pulls me into a hug. Then I get ripped away from him. I push the guy away and give him a kiss. Then I walk on stage. I sit down nervously.

I: So Shane, how does it feel to being back into the Games just after you got out?

Shane: I was shocked. It's crazy.

I: Right. So care to tell us about Shoey?

I laugh along with the audience. Maybe I house just throw some ridiculous shit out there. Nah.

Shane: What can I say? Joey is amazing.

I: Yes. He's gotten a high score both times. What about you Shane? Are you confident about going back?

Shane: I'm nervous. Everyone here has already gone through the Games too. So I think it's gonna be a lot tougher.

I: Indeed. Well thanks Shane. And good luck.

I walk off the stage and get escorted back to floor. I collapse on the couch and wait for Joey.

Joey's POV

They all loved Shane. I hope mine goes down as well as his. I walk on stage and flash a smile. I sit down and he mentions my teeth again.

I: Those teeth are still looking perfect!

Joey: Thanks!

I: Well let's start off with this question. Will you still team with Shane dispite his score?

Joey: Oh. Of course. I know I he's a lot better than what that stupid score says.

I: Interesting... Well I'll ask you this too. What can you tell us about Shoey?

I blush and giggle. What do I say?

Joey: Uh, what about it?

The audience cracks up. I laugh too.

I: How have you two been at home? The same as in the arena?

Joey: Yeah. Just less blood and killing.

I: Well that's nice to know.

Eventually I get back to our floor. I join Chad, Sam, and Shane for dinner.

Shane: How did it go?

Joey: I didn't know what to say or do. I think I embarrassed myself.

Sam: You were fine! And the audience seemed to really like you Shane.

Shane: Surprisingly.

I laugh. I really like Shane. They should too.

After dinner we laid in my bed.

Shane: I love you. And I will see you.

Joey: I love you too. And I'll be looking for you.

He smiles. I lean in and kiss him. It quickly turns into a make out session. When we pull back he snuggles on my chest. I close my eyes. As long as we have each other we don't need anything else.
