I grabbed my regular clothes in the trunk of the Mercedes and followed Mrs. Green to her house. I felt grateful that people could support me. I saw that she was going to turn into Marks Estates, the luxury houses that cost nine hundred thousand dollars. I turned the car into it and Mrs. Green lived on the first house on the first street. I parked and stood in front of my car as Mrs. Green gave me the cue to come in. I walked in through the nicely cleaned garage and she opened the door.
"Maddie, Megan, this is Emalie, a former student of mine," Mrs. Green said. "She will be joining us for dinner and a movie tonight,""Hi Emalie!" The girls said aloud. They looked elementary school aged. Mrs. Green told me to relax while dinner's cooking. I sat on the couch and Maddie and Megan came up to me.
"Hi Emalie!" They hugged me.
"So tell me about yourselves,"
"Well, I'm Maddie, and I'm nine and I'm in third grade at Kilsy Christian Elementary School and I like ice cream and being a girly girl with my American Girl Dolls and shopping and more!" She laughed.
"I'm Megan," The other sister mumbled. "I'm...in first grade at Kilsy Christian...and I like playing barbies and shopping. I also like playing hopscotch and going to church." She smiled.
"So what do you want to do?" Maddie said, with a smile. "You could help us with our homework," I nodded my head and said "Sure". They both rushed to their homework, grabbed it and picked it up and brought it to me. I sat and helped with each girl's math homework.
"Dinner's ready!" Mrs. Green said. "Emalie, what do you want?"
"I'll have lasagna!" I told her in excitement. She laid everyone's plates at the table and called dinner. Mr. Green, Maddie and Meagan walked and sat down, they held hands and I was confused. Then Mr. Green invited me to hold his hand. Then the family, but me, bowed their heads.
"Father, we thank you so much for this food in front of us today and we thank you for our house guest, Ms. Emalie Johnstree. I just pray, Lord, that you would comfort Emalie through all this trauma that is going on in her life with losing her family and I pray that you would strengthen and help her discover a relationship with you. I thank you for this loving family who is always willing to support grief-stricken friends and I pray that this meal would go well and everyone would be well nourished. In Jesus' Name, Amen." Everyone said Amen and started eating.
"Why were you praying?" I asked Mrs. Green. "Who is the Father, Jesus, Lord?"
"She doesn't know any about it," Mr. Greenaland told Mrs. Green.
"Would you like to come to church with us every Wednesdays and Sundays? Your youth group worships on Wednesdays at 7:30 and Sunday worship is at eleven which breakfast starts at 8:30," I nodded my head. I knew what church was, but my parents would never let our family go to it.
"Alright, I'll sign you up for youth group, and the teen grief support group, which meets tomorrow night," I smiled and finished eating dinnef. Then we watched a kids aminated comedy movie. I fell asleep.
