"Welcome to the teen grief support group," A guy who was leading it said. "I'm Louis, I'll be your leader," There was sixteen of us in a circle, and I was next to three girls. "Let's go around clockwise telling name, age, who we lost and what we learned from the loss,"

"Hi," A shy, dark hair girl mumbled. "I'm McKenzie, I'm fourteen, and I lost my mom to cancer and I learned to appreciate the people in your life," An older boy was next to her.

"I'm CJ," He stood up and said loudly. "I'm seventeen, I lost my dad to a heart attack, but I don't care."

"Did you learn anything from it?"

"No, sir," He says, "I might as well sit,"

"I'm Olivia," I knew her from school. She was Maya's friend. "I'm seventeen, I lost my best friend to a car accident, and learned to trust people,"

"I'm Devan," The ginger dude next to Olivia said. "I'm sixteen, I lost my brother to an ATV accident last winter and learned to love," I was after the person next to me.

"I'm Micheal," The African- American person said next to me. "I'm fifteen, I lost my sister to an uncurable brain tumor, and learned to hope, I guess." My turn.

"I'm Emalie," I told the support group, then hesitated. "I'm sixteen, I lost my sisters and my parents to a drunk driving accident just two weekends ago, and learned that my world's not falling apart," Thank God that was overwith.

"I'm Brooke," The long haired blondie said next to me, in a Southern accent, "I lost my dad to cancer and my mother's in prison. I learned to trust my instincts, and by the way I'm sixteen,"

"I'm Eric," The dark haired nerd looking dude said. "I'm sixteen. I lost my family to a house fire and didn't really learn anything," We had one more short haired girl in the circle.

"I'm Kennedy. I'm eighteen. I lost my mom to cancer and learned to lead by example,"

"Ok, since we all introduced each other we will now do our first activity," Louis says. "Everyone needs to find a partner, we will have a group of three since there's nine of us. Let me assign them. Kennedy will be with Eric, Brooke will be with Emalie, Micheal will be with Devan, and Olivia, CJ and McKenzie will be together." Everyone moved to their areas.

"Now, you will tell your partner about yourself in a better perspective," Louis says. "It can be about anything, but not about who you've lossed. Do it in like a my turn to ask, your turn to ask format." Everyone did what Louis told them.

"So, Emalie?" Brooke paused. "Where do you go to school at?"

"Wilson Tree Senior High, how about you?" I answered.

"Kilsy Christian," She says. "What's your favorite food?"

"Pizza, what's your favorite movie?"

"It depends on what day it is, what's your favorite ice cream flavor?"

"Cookie Dough, what's a Christian school like?"

"It's about as crazy as public school, we all have to be disclipined, and go to chapel and tutor the little ones,"

"Next activity, combining partners, Olivia, CJ and McKenzie will combine with Kennedy and Eric and will be on the left side, Brooke and Emalie will combine with Micheal and Devan on the right side," We introduced like how he told us before and now it was our teams. We didn't start with activities yet and I drove home.

Well, home wasn't home anymore.
