I got up at 5:30 am to get ready for school, which is two hours before I normally do it, because the Sr. High starts at 9:30 and the Jr. High starts at 7:45. I wanted to make sure I had asked if I could be excused for the day to be with my sister, but run up to school to grab Bella's and my make up work. I made a call on the house landline to the Jr. High first.

"Hello, Wilson Tree Junior High School, this is Melissa," The secretary said.

"Hi," I paused, sounding in Mom's voice. "Isabella Johnstree will be absent from school possibly the rest of the week because she is in the hospital suffering from trauma from a car wreck and her older sister, Emalie, will also be missing school that day to be with her, could she please have all absent work?"

"We all know what happened and will be sending a hospital instructor as soon as doctors think Isabella is well enough, Ok, Thank you," Melissa hung up. I then called the Sr. High School and they excused Maya and I for the week.

I got in my car in my pajamas and went to see Isabella again. The radio was announcing that the funeral plans for my parents and sister would be on Thursday at nine am. It also pointed out that Isabella is still in critical condition and suffering serious injuries.

I parked the same place I parked yesterday and entered in the same way I did last time, but I walked straight to the trauma center and met the same nurse and walked through the metal detector again and did the drill.

"Her body's shutting down, slowly," The Nurse said as she greeted me to her room. "We would send her to a better trauma center but you're the only one proving to be her guardian and we would have to stay with her," Mrs. Green was in the room, she looked at me and smiled.

"You need somewhere to stay until you can be taken in by someone?" She asked. I shook my head. "I could probably hook you up, I'll just see what my children and husband think," She was in her 40's, but an awesome person.

I could probably survive on my own, but Mom and Dad wouldn't have wanted that option for me. But I gotta do what I need to do.

Five hours later, Isabella woke up. Mrs. Green left and I stood in there with her. Bella was crying.

"I don't want to die, I don't want to die," She says. "But I need to do what I need to do,"

"Bella, you'll be with the Lord, who'll keep you and you won't have any pain or problems," I told her. Bella's speech started getting slurred.

"Love is the greatest thing of all," Bella said. She took her last breath, and died.

"Isabella," I cried. I rubbed her cold little hands as the heart monitor made a single, long "BEEP". The nurses came in, took her and I went home. Brooklyn texted me saying she loved me.
