I woke up on my first full day of summer and saw my new room that I had done by myself. Maddie and Megan still had another week of school. I saw my mirror and my messy hair into a bun. I took my phone out of it's plug from the nightstand and saw an iMessage from Spencer.

"Hey, call me when you can," I took my phone and called Spencer.

"Hey," He said. "Can I tell you something?"

"What?"

"My mom found out this morning she has severe terminal cancer," Spencer was crying. "She may live for only three weeks,"

"Where are you?" I told him.

"I'm at Prepton Health Network's main hospital in Prepton. Emalie Grace, you promise not to tell anyone,"

"Of course,"

"Guess what else happened?"

"What?"

"My brother, Eli, got arrested for being in a big fight yesterday. Emalie Grace, I'm just so scared of what will happen in the next part of my life,"

"Spencer, you'll be alright, and just pull through and try to accept it. I'll be on my way. Meet me in the main lobby," I put jean capris on and a graphic t-shirt that said "Paris" and black flip flops.

I told Mrs. Green about the whole story and she let me go see him. I went in my car with my just my wallet and made the ten minute drive to the adult hospital.

I pulled in and parked in front of the main lobby and rushed into the main lobby. Spencer was in there, wiping his tears.

"Emalie," He says, hugging me. "I'm so glad you're ok," I smiled.

"Spencer," I looked at him. "You look so sad,"

"I wanted to see you," Spencer cries as I started crying. "Before losing my mother and brother," We hugged again as he cried.

"Emalie, you're so beautiful," He felt underneath my donut bun. "I have never seen a girl so beautiful," I looked into his watery blue eyes and felt a sense of love to him.

He and I held hands.

"Your skin is so soft," He said. "You're so beautiful, Emalie Grace, Let's go to Mom's room," He and I walked to Mom's room.

"Mom," He said. "This is my girlfriend, Emalie,"

"Hi, Emalie," She said with a croaked voice. "You look so pretty, welcome to the family," I smiled as I looked at her.

"Emalie and I are going to the front of the lobby," We left, and he kissed me on the cheek on the way down. We sat down and he couldn't stop looking at me.

"You know how long I've liked you?" He said as I looked around the dull waiting room, everything looked white execpt for the armrests.

"How long?"

"Since I've been here," Which was in eighth grade. We've talked since then, but haven't been in a relationship.

"I didn't want to be in a relationship though, Spence,"

"Emalie, we've been talking about it since eighth grade,"

"I know but, can we just be friends?" He hesitated, then kissed me on the lips.

"Emalie," He paused, then kissed me on the cheek. "I do not want to be friends, I want to spend eternity, forever with your beauty by my side," He kissed me on the forehead. "When I saw you, I knew you'd be beautiful. Emalie, you're my definition of true beauty. Your hair, your face, everything." He kissed me again. "I don't want to be friends, I want to be one with you, agree?" I whispered "Yes".

Spencer was going through alot. He needed friends, he was bullied as being one of the cutest boys at Wilson Tree Senior High, the football team gave him a severe concussion last fall and he gets called names everyday while at school and it made me sad. Spencer also needed a girl, me in fact. He was so beautiful and I feel honored to be his.
