Chapter 21 ~ Unseen Bonds

A/N Clue 2: this characters looks was going to be based on Gilbert Nightray from Pandora Hearts and Hiren from Undertaker Riddle due to both appearance and personality traits. However, this was changed due to certain characteristics these characters don't have. anyway, enjoy~

BEEP BEEP BEEP BEEP CRASH

You threw the alarm clock at the wall; it seems Mephisto decided to replace it. You groaned and buried your head in the soft pillows. However, Dire decided he wanted up and out, therefore he began to nuzzle underneath you and roll you onto your back. Your face scrunched up when the shadow wolf began licking your face happily, but you soon laughed as his fur tickled your nose.

''I'm up, I'm up,'' you laughed and gave him a one armed hug around his neck. Dire gave a playful growl and jumped off the bed.

Smiling because of a peaceful night, you swung your legs over and went to your wardrobe. You took off yesterdays clothes and threw them to the side to be washed. ''Wait, yesterdays clothes?'' you said aloud and looked at Dire.

Your companion looked at you quizzically before you frowned and looked back at the old clothes. ''How did I...? Rag!'' you growled, the question already known.

''I didn't do anything, maybe you should ask General Sex-on-legs,'' you heard the demon smirk.

''What?!'' you shouted alarmed.

You heard Rag snicker, ''He didn't do anything... unfortunately, just carried you from the train station all the way to your bed. Bridal style might I add and you sure seemed content in his arms.'' You sighed, at least he didn't do anything but Sephiroth could of at least woke you up. 

You sighed and ran a hand through your hair. Shaking it off, you grabbed your school wear and went into the bathroom with Dire on your heels. You took a shower while your companion laid beside the walk in shower, enjoying the steam from the boiling water. Once done, Dire handed you a towel and you dried yourself. 

You soon got changed and used fire magic to dry your hair as you brushed it. Your mind was elsewhere however, Vanitas was said to arrive today and you wondered what may happen. First of all, Sora was a complete wreck when it came to his older twin. Second, Vanitas is known because he killed someone; or as other people say, murdered someone. 

Dire seemed to notice your slight distress and nuzzled your hand. ''I'm worried about Van,'' you said softly.

Dire gave a small whine and rested his head on your lap, yellow eyes hidden behind his thick, black fur. ''Yeah, your right. Vanitas can look after himself,'' you gave a small smile and patted the wolf's head.

You put on your boots and made your way to the dining hall for breakfast with Dire by your side. You had breakfast with the girls as usual, however they decided to bring up the little meeting with [b.o.c] on Saturday. You groaned and banged your heard as Dire growled and started to sulk. Yuffie and Rikku snickered while the others giggled.

When the bell rang, you all made your way to lessons, first Science. Like before, Rikku sat next to you but the boys had somehow managed to get closer ths time. Throughout the lesson, you all passed notes; only getting caught once. That was Axel with a dirty joke on a slip of paper. Amazingly, Axel managed to talk his way out of a detention, but that was due to the excuse amusing Ansem even if he didn't believe it.

In Constellations, you sat with Yuna again and wasn't under the suspecting eye of Lulu anymore thankfully. The lesson was actually quite easy now that you wasn't on edge, however you couldn't say much for the boys. Once again, they was caught for passing notes and ended up having a jolt of electricity shot though them for punishment.
