Chapter 1 ~ Twisted Bribery

''Uh-huh,'' you replied without really listening. You where reading a weaponology book that you surprisingly haven't read yet.

''...he asked for one of us.... I thought you would be good because..... 17...... your 15 but still more powerful..... you can take Dire.... So you accept the job?'' your friend Tomoyo asked.

''Yeah sure, whatever,'' you waved her off.

''Yeyy,'' she cheered, hugging you. This shocked you from your book. What could of made her so happy?

''Whoa, why you so happy?'' you questioned, thinking maybe you should have listened.

Tomoyo looked confused. ''You accepted the job to work as a teacher at Haniel's Academy for the Magically Gifted. Your gonna work with the S class mages, you know those who are way above the level of power they have for their age?'' she asked as if you should know it.

You nodded your head but said, ''No, when did you ask me this?''

Your friend let out an irritated sigh, her black hair falling in her face. ''[name], I asked you whether you would take the job to be a teacher or not. You said yes even though you weren't listening,'' she said trying to keep her calm.

''Oh. Go find someone else,'' you said in a monotonous voice. You would much prefer to stay in the library and read; even if you had literally read nearly all the books.

Tomoyo swiped the book out of your hand with a devious smirk; 'Uh oh,' you thought. When she had this smirk, you knew she had you. ''Well, it either take the teaching job or~,'' she drawled. Here it comes, you didn't know want to know how she would bribe you. ''You'll have to find new hiding spots from the priestess. I heard she got some new clothes for you, that are a little on the... revealing side~,'' your friend sang knowing she had you.

''Fine, I'll do the bleeding teaching job,'' you sighed. The priestess was your leader. Also called the Goddess of Judgement. Why? Since her magic was perfectly balanced between dark and light magic. Under her was six more so-called Goddess's. Three representing the dark side of the balance and three representing the light side of the balance. However, since your leader was a priestess, she wasn't allowed to fall in love with a man and lose her innocence. Women however was a different story.

Oh yes, the priestess liked to dress you up; it's been like this for the past 6 years since she found you at the young age of 9. You cared for her yes, she had after all saved your life and you owed her for that. But, you and everyone in the palace was pretty sure she had a little more then a friendly interest in you. She had said before that you never shown interest in boys, but you always replied you weren't looking for love.

''Hehe,'' Tomoyo laughed, you knew this was going to be more than just some teaching job. Tomoyo always did have hidden motives in everything she did. Ironic since she was the main Goddess representing the light and everything pure. Well, the Goddess of Time and Space. The two Goddess's under her was the Goddess of Earth and the Goddess of Water.

As you watched your retreating friend's back, you thought about what this could entail. Teaching S class mages means they could be cocky; and scaring the living day lights out of them could be fun. After all, you was the Goddess of Death and Destruction; a lot of rumors spread about you being a monster or demon. It never bothered you, some even made you laugh. Since you was the main Goddess on the dark side of the balance, under you was the Goddess of Fire and the Goddess of Wind.
