It Started With A Dance (Dylan O'Brien Fanfic)

Chapter 5

So this chapter is loosely based on something that happened to me at homecoming last year....

Kaden's POV ~
I picked Aubrey up at exactly 7 o'clock and then headed to the movies. Neither of us really said anything i think because we were both nervous. But we held hands during the movie, it was about 1hr 45min movie. On the way to bringing Aubrey home she asked if we could hang out. "Kaden? Can we hangout back at your house tonight?" "Sure!" When we pulled up in the driveway we both realized Dylan's car was still there. We walked in to see the 2 of them passed out on the couch all cuddled together. "Aw!! Thats soo cute!" Aubrey squealed. I started to laugh but i stopped when Aubrey hit me in the arm. "Dont laugh! Its freaking adorable!" "Fine. Im gonna go walk them up though so they know we're back." I walked up to Dylan and i started laughing again, i knee how much he liked my sister but he never got the balls to tell her and i know she likes him back that way too! So when i saw them i was laughing because i thought they finally told each other and were together but when Dylan got up it was a different story.
"Dylan and Raelynn sitting in a tree K-I-S-S-I-N-G!" I said while poking Dylan at this point Aubrey joined in laughing. All of a sudden Dylan opened his eyes. "Dude, what the fuck? Why did you wake me up?" "Well i was gonna wake both of you up but then i thought maybe you told her so i was just gonna get you up and tease you for finally growing a pair!" "Your such an ass and no i didnt tell her i lik-" he was cut of by Raelynn waking up. "Whats going on?" She asked in a sleepy voice "nothing, me and Aubrey just got back a couple minutes ago but we're gonna go in my room. Night you two dont have to much fun tonight i teased as me and Aubrey walked up stairs."

Raelynn's POV ~
"What the hell was that all about?" "I dont know your brothers in LOVEE!! And i think its going to his head." Yeah IN LOVEE!!! With our best friend!" I was kinda mad but not mad that she was with m brother but because because... My thoughts were interrupted by Dylan. "Are you mad that they are together?" "No, im happy for both of them but... I just need to get used to it." I lied i wanted to tell Dylan the real reason but was to scared. We picked another movie and wound falling back asleep in the couch.
- Skipping a month -
Things really havent changed much Kaden and Aubrey were officially together and i was still single. Home coming was in 1 week and i decided to go by myself but with friends. Kaden and Aubrey are going together, and the 'friends' i was going with was Dylan and Katie. Katie was a good friend of all of us but she just wasnt around alot like Aubrey and Dylan. "So Raelynn you excited for homecoming?" Dylan had picked me up to bring me to school as usual. "Yeah. How about you?" "Yeah i guess, it will be fun though!"
Later that day my mom took me dress shopping! I feel in love with a short aqua party dress, the bottom was made out of crinoline. I liked the fluffy bottom dress!
-Skipping to Homecoming!-
I curled my hair and put on some really light makeup, and i wore a pair of converses that were the same color of my dress. Im not a big girlie girl i dont do heels haha. Dylan was bringing me and Katie and Kaden was taking Aubrey in his car. When Dylan got to my house he looked so adorable in his suit! I was hoping i would get the chance to slow dance with him tonight but i dont think its gonna happen.

Dylan's POV ~
Raelynn looks so gorgeous in her dress. I liked the fact she wore converses with her dress because she was being herself and didnt care what other people thought of her. "You look gorgeous Raelynn!" She blushed "Thanks Dylan, you're not to bad yourself. We did pictures and all that good stuff and then left for the dance.
-at the dance-
By the middle of Kaden and Aubrey were making out in the corner of the gym. Katie found some guy to grind on and me and Raelynn were dancing around each other. The DJ announced he was gonna play a slow song, "The Only Exception By Paramore" came on and me an Raelynn went to take a seat since we didnt go with anyone. "Raelynn?" I yelled over the music across the table to her. "Yeah Dyl?" "Do you want to dance with me?" She looked kinda shocked. "I would love to Dylan!" She said as she stood uo i couldnt believe i was gonna get to slow dance with her. As we were dancing she had her head against my chest.
"Rae?"
"Yeah?"
She picked her head up and looked into my eyes. I leaned down and pressed my lips against hers passionately and moved my hands from her waist to her cheeks. She kissed back which made me smile into the kiss. "Raelynn, I love you." "I love you too Dylan!" "Lets get out of here." "But what about Katie?" "She'll get a ride." I said while kissing her one more time and then grabbed her hand and ran out to the car.
