I run to the front desk
"Hey Georgina which room is Ashley in" I ask
"Hello Benjamin he's in ICU room 30" she smiles.
I go in the lift and when the door opens I run to room thirty. I go in there Ashley is sleeping; I sit on the chair and hold his hand his eyes flutter open "Ben I am sorry. Jack he..." Ashley whispers.
"Its OK I know Jack can be horrible" I say and kiss the back if his hand. I look at his knuckles and realise they are bruised
"I kicked his ass" Ashley giggles lightly
"Good job angel" I smile.
"I need a may need kidney transplant they are going to give me an X ray and probably a CT scan soon" Ashley brown eyes fill with fear. All the hope and joy leaves his eyes.
"I will stay with you all the way through m. You don't need to be scared they will find someone who is a match and be better and home with me before you know it." I say and squeeze his hand reassuringly.
"Ben I love you always remember that" Ashley kisses the back of my hand.
"I love you to. You're not going to die Ash I won't let you. You will get through this" I say and reassuring him
"You don't know that Benji... You won't be able to stop me. You wouldn't be able to do anything" Ashley's voice wobbles and tears fill his eyes.
"Ashley stop it. Your not dyeing" I say sternly
"You don't know that" Ashley sobs
"Ash please don't give up hope" I kiss the back of his hand
"OK... I will try for you" Ashley voice wobbles.
I lean over Ashley and wipe the tears from his cheeks "good" I smile and place my lips against his and kiss him lovingly. "Hello Benjamin" I hear Shelly's disembodied voice from behind me.
I pull away from Ashley slowly "I love you I whisper" and rub my nose against his lightly. Ashley smiles "I love you to" Ashley replies.
"Nice to see you to have made up over your little argument" Shelly smiles.
"Hello Shelly" Derek and Katie say at the same time
"Hello Mr and Mrs Newman...Mr Newman and Mrs Newman we need to check if any of you or any other relatives may be a match for his transplant" Shelly replies
"We will phone everyone and see if they can be here to see if any if them are a match if we aren't" Derek says
"Can I be tested as well" I say eagerly
"Yeah no problem the more people we test there will be more of a chance we will find a match" Shelly smiles at me kindly.
