1week later Ashley POV
"Is any of my family a match" I ask Shelly
"No we are struggling to find someone who is the same arises negative blood type like you" Shelly sits in a chair next to me and pinches the bridge of her nose
"How come none of my family is match" I ask confused
"We don't know maybe someone you don't know of in your family has the same blood type as you" Shelly shrugs; she quickly stands when a small device in her pocket beeps she pulls it out and pushes a button and spontaneously runs out of the room.
"Wonder what that was about" I say out loud to myself
"Hey Ash" Jack says and come into my room and sits in the chair next to me
"piss off Jack don't you have your own life" my voice fills with annoyance
"Woo feisty as as always. I wouldn't be that way to me if I were you. Do you want to know why Ashley baby?" Jack sits forward leaning his face so close to mine the tips of our noses skimmed each other
"Why" I say flatly and scowl at him whiles fighting the urge to headbutt him in the face.
"Because I could be your only donner" Jack smiles at me wickedly and finally giving me my space.
"WHAT THE HELL ARE YOU ON ABOUT JACK" I say loudly
"Yes sweetie I my blood type is arises negative" Jack's laugh goes through me causing a cold shiver to go down my spine.
"No you can't be my sister is still stuck in America she was supposed to come down for Christmas but she had a baby so we postponed Christmas till she could celebrate with us. Now she's on her way and should be here by tomorrow to see if she could be a possible donner. " I say sternly
His smile dropped " you have a sister. When did that happen"Jack says in shocked and his smile dropped.
"Yeah she's my older sister we don't talk about her much." I explain
"I hope she isn't a match" Jack smirks and walks out of the room.
Five minutes later mam,dad and Benji walk in
"Ash guess who is here to see you" mam says ecstatic
"Is Sarah here" I say grinning excitedly
"Hey loser" Sarah smiles and jogs into the room quickly putting me into a bear hug causing her bright ginger hair that matches our mam's to go into my face.
"Hey thicko have you grown a brain yet" I greet laughing loudly
"No sadly I thin I lost some whilst bringing Zoe into the world. What have you gotten yourself into now clumsy no one would tell me all I know is you need a kidney transplant" Sarah smiles leaves her face and is replaced by a look of concern.
Everyone leaves the room
"What's wrong with you Ash?" Sarah voice fills with pain
"I,I,I h,h..." I don't think i can tell her she's to sensitive I say in my head. "JUST TELL ME NERD" Sarah cuts off my trail of thought
"I have Leukemia and it spread into my kidney" I say before I can freak out.
"Ash why didn't you tell me sooner how long have you had it for" Sarah says as tears begin to Falk down her freckled checks.
"About six months or so" I shrug as if its no big deal.
Sarah hugs me tightly
"Your such a brave loser" Sarah whispers in my ear before she pulls away.
"Thanks thicko" I smile at her
"Ow shush you know I am a secret nerd like you even though I am 32 and still haven't passed maths whiles your going to do an A level in it. I better go and see if I am a possible donner for you" Sarah wipes her nose and brushes away the tears on her cheeks and walks out of my room.
