Ashley POV
Great waking up at the hospital I basically live here.
"Hello Shelly" I say brightly
"Hello Ashley I am your designated doctor Dr George has taken some time off" she smiles at me whiles she places an IV into my wrist; "how are you feeling" Shelly says casually
"It hurts a little under my left rib" I say flatly and point at the general area of where the pain is.
"Alright" she places her hand under my rib and presses down a little. "Raise you arms above your head and tell me if the pain becomes worse at all" I comply and raise my arms above my head "yeah it does" I say through gritted teeth
"I will schedule an Xray and a CT scan on your kidneys ASAP. Alright" Shelly replies and writes on the clip board.
"Why has Dr George taken time of" My voice fills with concern
"I am not sure sadly" she goes to turn that's when I see a little shiny ring on her left finger
"Congratulations" I smile at her
"Ow I was ment to take that of cross contamination and all that haha. Yeah Rebecca finally asked me" Shelly blushes and giggles a bit before taking her ring of and puts it in her pocket. "How is Benji" Shelly's voice become serious she checks her watch before taking a seat beside my bed.
I sit up before I speak " He's alright we are having a little argument but I am sure it will pass. How is the Tom is Cameron still trying to get custody" I ask in concern
"No he's given up we have made a chart of which days he can see him and days I can see him so everything is good. Tom even gets on with Lauren know Rebecca's daughter they don't bicker as much as they used to" she smiled at me and takes a picture from her pocket and hands it to me.
The picture is of her her dark brown hair in a bun and she carrying a young boy with light brown hair and glasses which most lickely is Tom. Next to her is a blond haired young girl with bright blue eyes wearing floral pink dress which must be Lauren. She's holding Shelly and the other woman's hand which must be Laurens mother Rebecca I know because of the similar fetchers.
They all are smiling at the camera looking very happy
"I will get you some pain killers. Will you hold on to that for a bit" Shelly stands and rushes out of the room.
I put the smile at the picture fondly before I put it on the small side table next to my bed. My eyes lids become heavy so I decide to just get some sleep.
