"I wish I could turn back the clock. I'd find you sooner and love you longer."

Chapter 2

I woke up with a splitting headache. I guess too much drinks would be the reason of this.

Everything that happened yesterday was blurry, but I can remember few things.

West. Kiss. Lights.

I looked up to my ceiling and wondered how I ended up in my bed.

When the lights were fixed, I stared at him. He grinned again. I should start calling him 'Liam Grinning West'. Then my father again, came up to me.

"Hey. Are you alright?" Concern was visible in his eyes. "We just experienced technical issues. It's fixed now." He informed me.

"We are fine. Mr. Jameson. I and your daughter... We were starting to have a good time when the lights went out." Playfulness passed his face.

"Good thing you took care of my daughter. She doesn't like these kinds of events. I just forced her to come here." He smiled. They are talking about me like I'm not here.

"We should leave. It's getting late." I said. They both looked at me, like I interrupted something, which I did.

"Well. Yeah. Okay." My Father said. I know he doesn't want to leave yet. "Can we just stay for a few minutes?" He asked me. My Father loves me, I admit I'm spoiled by him since I have no siblings.

"Dad..." I said. Suddenly the guy beside me suddenly interrupted. "I can take her home for you, Mr. Jameson."

My Father smiled at the thought of him staying longer. "Is it alright, for him to take you home?" He asked.

I looked at the guy beside me. As much as I don't want to go near him again, I want to leave this place. I guess I have to endure a few minutes with this guy.

"Sure, dad. Go. Have fun. I'll go home." I said.

He then left, and Liam gestured me to follow him to his car.

"How long have you known my dad?" I curiously asked since my father seems to trust him.

"Long enough." He said, putting his hands to his pockets. "I spend most of my times at the hospital."

"Why?" I said. He looked at me like I just invaded his personal life. "You don't have to answer if you don't want to."

He just quietly strolls towards the parking lot. I guess that topic was sensitive.

"Why did you kiss me?" I asked. I blushed when I realize the thought of what I said.

"You really don't have any tact do you?" He smiled as if I am entertaining him. "You really are unique, Jameson."

I just bowed my head, trying to hide my face.

"I don't get you. You say something feisty and embarrassing, then when you realize what you said you would get all shy and meek." He said as we arrive to his jet black car. I don't know what car this is, since I don't have any interest in them, but it seems this one costs millions.

"You really don't want to go home yet. You just want to leave that place. Why do you hate parties?" He said.

"I just feel like I don't fit in." I don't know why I'm telling him this, but it feels comfortable.

"Why don't you try to fit in?" He asked as he opens the door of his car. I looked inside and sat down on the passenger seat. Everything seems luxurious.

"I don't want to mingle with people who don't even bother." I said. "Besides, I'm alright being alone, and parties like these are boring."

"Liar." I was surprised. I looked at him as if he was a ghost. "You don't really mean that..." he muttered.

"Mean what?" I asked, wondering what he was trying to say.

"That you are fine alone." He said as he starts the ignition of his car and backing out the parking space.

I don't know what to say. So I just kept quiet through the ride. He didn't bother saying anything to me.

We reached our house. He stopped at our gate. I was hesitating to get out of the car, but what was I supposed to do? After a few minutes, I decided to go out the car. I was about to when he locked the door with one press of a button.

I looked at him. Again, I felt electricity running through my veins, but this time he wasn't touching me. He was merely looking at me.

"No one likes to be alone." He said. He glanced at our house. "Living in this house must be hard for you. Your dad talks about you a lot. Your mom..." He hesitated to say the words.

I interrupted him before he could say anything. "I have lasagna at our fridge, but I don't know how I could finish all of it." I said, trying to lighten up the conversation.

"If that is your way of inviting me over, you disappoint me." He said, and then he laughed.

"I have some wine too." I said, laughing back at him.

"Don't push it, Jameson." He said. Unlocking the doors and getting out of the car.

He circled around the car and opened the door for me.

"What a gentleman!" I said with an accent that made him laugh more.

"I have something new to call you. Humorous Jameson." He laughed again.

I opened the gate and said, "Gentleman West." He laughed even harder.

That is all I can remember... What the hell happened next? Ugh. My head is throbbing with pain.

I step out of my bed when suddenly I felt something soft at my feet. I slowly looked down.

Liam Grinning West is passed out in my room!
